Face lifting is as much an emotional as a physical procedure . If you feel your appearance is holding you back from living to your fullest you may be a candidate for a procedure now . I have seen very young women 40 be very happy with a less invasive lift . The key is to match the right procedure with the right patient .

Hello. I am 52 years old. I’m in good shape physically and maintain a good weight. In the last 3 years my chin angle turned into a box. I do not have a loose neck but jowls are forming and they truly bother me. Fillers have NOT helped. A friend who is a Dermatologist told me it is best to hold off as long as possible before a facelift and to do a full not mini when I do the surgery. Is there a benefit to wait? Am I a candidate now since it does bother me now.

It is common to have pain and irregularities after surgery on the nose , I would recommend bringing this up to your surgeon , occasionally a massage of the region can help if you feel a “bone” ... I wouldn’t be concerned unless this persists after 6 months

I had a septorhinoplasty 2.5 weeks ago. I had a large hump on my nasal bone, she removed it. I currently am having on the right side of my face a bone near my nose going into my nose. Its hard and occasionally throbs. The other side is healing fine, and that was my septo side. Im not sure if this is just swelling.

I appreciate your concern following surgery ,I do not feel your nose will get longer or go down with time . It often takes a while to get used to a new look but my patients usually can tell if “it’s right “ , even with a cast in place .. I would allow a minimum of 6 months for this to heal and if you’re not happy consider a revision&nbsp;

I just wanted to correct a little bump I had, to make my nose straight. My former nose was nice and did not needed a lot of work. I insisted the dr to maintain a natural look, but I feel now the angle of the tip is not the right one and my nose looks too short for my face. I look too fake. I am very disappointed with the results. I look not only piggy but like Michael Jackson.

A deviated septum may cause a whistle in the nose . If a deviation is caused by a traumatic event the external nose is often deviated as well .Insurance will usually cover deviated septal surgery but often make getting coverage for external nasal repair difficult , classifying this as cosmetic. I would recommend going to a double board certified ENT/Facial Plastic Surgeon for another opinion .

I was assaulted in the street a little over a year ago. I was punched in the face which broke my nose so now I have a deviated septum. I have a whistle at times when I breath. I had seen to a doctor but he wanted to charge $8000. For the surgery, I couldn't understand why since insurance was covering cost for the medical necessary procedure. I have to admit that I've been a little afraid to go through the whole broken nose thing again.I've been pushing it off but my breathing is getting worse

The use of simulated images may help you focus your thoughts about your surgical expectations ,however exact replication of a simulated&nbsp;image should not be expected . Post surgical outcome will usually approximate a professionally simulated image and I would encourage you to see a Board Certified Surgeon and have one done.

I'm saving money to have rhinoplasty...Could my nose look similar to those photos? Also, how bad does it look (will it be on the expensive end of rhinoplasty)? Will I be able to work out monthly payments to pay for my rhinoplasty?

You have a good chance of getting back to work in 2 weeks , many things influence healing time such as having an open vs closed procedure ...returning to work also is dependent on how you feel after surgery , will you be mentally ready to show off your new nose?

I have my surgery scheduled for June 5th. I have taken off work for 2 weeks. I work in a warehouse job where it gets VERY hot in the southern heat. I have to lift heavy things, and sweat daily. I usually work 8 hours a day on my feet, but I could also work longer. Would going back so soon affect my results?

You will notice a change after a rhinoplasty .. prior responses have suggested correcting droopy eyelids (Ptosis) and possiblely augmenting your chin , both may improve facial balance and harmony and would be worth exploring during a consult

I've considered getting this rhinoplasty for so long - since the boy in 6th grade told me I looked like a zebra (yeah, not quite sure how that one came up, but had to do with my nose). I'm afraid that I won't be able to notice a difference...but I also spend so much time looking at my face, that I'm bound to notice a difference, right? My nose is just too harsh for my face. What do you all think?

You do have signs of thick skin . Most surgeons suggest 1 year as a waiting period for final results . I would recommend you follow closely with your surgeon and be as open and candid about your concerns.

Hi! I got my nose done 2 months ago but from some reason none of the swelling has gone down at all? My nose looks bigger than it did before, and my doctor just says it's cause I have thick skin (also I have oily skin) but I'm very nervous if this is what my nose is gonna look like. My surgeon told me to wait 6 months cause my skin is thick but I just can't picture the final results in my head?

A tired appearance is usually related to the midface dropping , and more specifically the creation of deep shadows in the tear trough area . Anything you do to improve the infra orbital shadowing will make you look more "refreshed". Injection&nbsp;of filler , fat , a midface lift or laser will help . That is probably why you are getting many different opinions . I would recommend&nbsp;the most minimally invasive treatment , unless you are eager to have a permanent result then opt for surgery

I am doing my research trying to find the right doctor and the right price I will travel if necessary . I spoke to several doctors, a few have advised a face lift, lipo of my neck and a eye lift . Another said brow lift, eye lift and a mid face lift and not to do anything withy the bottom part of my face, except for Lipo in my neck I am getting very confused, the last doctor said that this mid face lift was actually traumatic. Could you doctors give me some guidance. Thank you

I can tell you pay attention to the details of your appearance from your beautiful brows and lips . You are a great candidate to fix the things that bother you about your nose . Your expectations are reasonable and should be achieved with a modern rhinoplasty .My recommendation is to decrease your dorsal hump so that it does not distract people from looking directly into your eyes, other details should be discussed at the time of consultation, including nostril size and rhinion augmentation .

I've hated my Italian nose my entire life. What bothers me most about it is the nostrils. They're so wide especially when I smile. I also hate the little hump at the end. I'm not sure if I actually want my nose smaller, I just absolutely hate the nostrils and the curved hump at the end. What procedure would be best for this?
