Great Microlift experience - local anesthesia & a quick surgery

After I saw the photos of Dr Miller's Microlift, I decided for the surgery. I took a flight from Central America, where I live, to New York. It was a quick surgery, local anesthesia, one hour. My clock went back 10 years. I'm so glad I went. Dr Miller is a great person, funny and good surgeon. Thanks

My nose now looks exactly the way I hoped

At the consultation, Dr. Miller made me feel that he could handle my requests for how I would like to look. My nose now looks exactly the way I hoped. His staff and surgery crew were amazing. They were professional, good-natured, and reassuring. My surgery was exactly as Dr. Miller planned. I will recommend Dr. Miller and his team to patients and friends. Tania, RN BSN

I'm certain I'll be THRILLED once all the swelling goes down

I've been looking for a surgeon to do my revision rhinoplasty for about 7 years. I've had consultations with several doctors and nothing felt right. I did a ton of research before setting up a consultation with Dr. Miller and was impressed with his reviews. I kid you not, within minutes of meeting him, I knew he was my doctor. His ability to truly understand my needs/concerns and articulate...

Can’t say enough great things about my experience with Dr. Miller! Not only is he and everyone is his office very knowledgeable, kind and accommodating, but the results of my rhinoplasty exceeded all of my expectations. I’ve received so many unsolicited compliments on how great it looks. Highly recommend!

Amazing Rhinoplasty Experience and Outcome!

Dr. Miller is fabulous! Can’t say enough positive feedback but I had the most seamless rhinoplasty I could ever imagine. I am shocked that 6 days post op I already love the outcome! He was patient, kind, understanding and that is hard to find. I felt so comfortable through the whole process and had the most amazing experience

Q: Does my facial structure/type of sagging make it less likely that a Facelift will last 10 years?
Answered by Dr. MillerJuly 12, 2022

A: Hi, there! Judging from your photos, I don't believe you are the best candidate for a deep plane facelift. The early signs of aging are sagging of the brows, hooding of the upper lids, drooping of the cheeks, deepening of the nasolabial folds, and formation of jowls. If lifting is desired, do a lift. But for a young person, a traditional deep plane facelift with cutting in front of the ear and around the temple hairline is not worth the trade-off. You may be a good candidate for a micro lift, aka a ponytail lift. The downtime of that is minimum and it's under local anesthesia.

Q: Can I get a facelift if I have a silicone nose implant?
Answered by Dr. MillerJuly 12, 2022

A: Hi, there! Silicone implants should not be an issue. You can still get a deep plane facelift or a micro facelift if you desire. While booking your consultation with a board-certified plastic surgeon, your surgeon will lay out all the things you can or can not do before and after the surgery. Hope this answers your question. Sincerely, Philip J. Miller, MD, FACS Double Board-Certified Facial Plastic Surgeon

Q: Is 20 too young for buccal fat removal? Will it make you age more long-term?
Answered by Dr. MillerJuly 12, 2022

A: Hi! There! Depending on the look you are going for if you want a chiseled jawline, buccal fat removal, and Botox on the masseter muscle, combined with a little filler to define the jaw could be a great option. If you like a little fullness on your cheek, Botox and filler can work well to give you some definition on your jawline and your chin. You might want to consult with an expert filler injector or a board-certified plastic surgeon before you make a decision. Hope this answers your questions. Sincerely, Philip J. Miller, MD, FACS Double Board-Certified Facial Plastic Surgeon

Q: Will I be able to watch a zoom class on my laptop starting the day after my surgery?
Answered by Dr. MillerMay 26, 2022

A: Hi, there! Yes, you will be able to attend Zoom meetings after the surgery. Depending on what kind of surgery you have, if you have a regular rhinoplasty, you will be wearing a cast for about a week after the surgery, which might affect your daily activities. If you have a micro rhinoplasty, you will be returning to work or school the next day. Sincerely, Philip J. Miller, MD, FACS Double Board-Certified Facial Plastic Surgeon

Q: Dislike my side profile - I think because of my nose. Would a rhinoplasty help? (photos)
Answered by Dr. MillerMay 25, 2022

A: Hi, There! I would recommend starting with a consultation with a board-certified facial plastic surgeon that specializes in rhinoplasty surgery to discuss if rhinoplasty can address your concerns. I would recommend writing down the following questions before scheduling your consultation: 1. Are you unhappy with the tip of your nose? 2. Do you feel that your nose is too wide? 3. Do you want to make your nostrils smaller in appearance? 4. Are you looking to decrease the general size of your nose? I hope some of these questions will help you pinpoint what it is that you don't like about your nose. Cost will vary due to various factors like anesthesia fees, facilities fees, etc. I wish you the best as you research your options when scheduling a rhinoplasty consultation. Sincerely, Philip J.
