57yo Stage 4 BC Survivor - New York

I had 'the works'- two surgeries to remove the cancer, 10 months of chemo and 33 radiation treatments. Dr. Vickery used the DIEP Flap procedure to create a beautiful symmetrical breast. She also worked to minimize the scar and improve the look of the cleavage. She's warm, funny and extremely competent. Everyone at the office is a pleasure.

20 Years Old, Breast Reduction - New York, NY

I am a 20 year old college student who experienced back pain and body image issues as a result of having breasts that were not proportional to my body. I tried all that I could to reduce my breast size without surgery, but nothing helped. When I began to consider this surgery, I knew that there were some risks to consider before I committed, but I knew of multiple people who had had great...

21 Years Old, DDD to B+ - New York

I'm about 3 months out of surgery with Dr. Vickery and I can now say that I should have done it 5 years ago. The whole surgery process was incredibly smooth. Dr. Vickery and her whole private staff are so incredibly sweet and you can tell they really want to make you feel comfortable. Dr. Vickery has preformed hundreds and hundreds of these surgeries and really is the best doctor in her field....

Breast Cancer Unilateral Mastectomy with TRAM Flap - Manhattan, NY

I was diagnosed with breast cancer as a young wife and mother. The decision was made jointly with the physicians to have a mastectomy with TRAM Flap reconstruction. Many years later, I am thrilled with the outcome . Going through a cancer diagnosis and treatment is very difficult. Having a physician like Carlin Vickery made the journey less stressful. She is a special doctor. Her warmth,...

32 Year Old, Diagnosed with Breast Cancer, Underwent Bilateral Mastectomy and Exchange Surgery - New York

I was referred to Dr. Vickery by my breast surgeon as well as another patient of Dr. Vickery's shortly after receiving my breast cancer diagnosis at 32 years old. At our initial consultation Dr. Vickery patiently and thoroughly explained what the surgeries would entail as well as what I could expect after. On the day of both my surgeries, her warm and comforting presence made all difference...

28 Years Old, Breast Reduction, No Kids, New York, NY! - Post-Op Review

I really don't like my thighs or the stretchmarks behind my legs or the love handles that embrace my waist, but nothing, nothing that I dislike on my body beats the aversion I felt towards my the one asset that women are supposedly to die for. Boobs. *Sigh.* Like many on this forum, my breasts started growing at a really young age. By the time I was 12, they were comfortably in the B cup...

58 Year Old, Breast Reduction with Tummy Tuck. New York, NY

Always suffered from large breasts, and also always slightly overweight. In addition, even when at my slimmest, I had a post cesarean tummy. Finally decided to do it. Was impressed by Dr. Vickery's enthusiasm and confidence (some surgeons I had interviewed before were hesitant, saying maybe I should only have a mini tuck because of my age). She did a very good job. I have very pleased with...

45 Years Old and Much Needed Breast Lift. New York, NY

Breast are such an integral part of our bodies. For the first time, I feel like a woman when I see myself in a mirror. I have firm, perky and overall very nice breast. With the help of Dr. Vickery, we decided a breast lift was the best choice for my active lifestyle. If you are considering having this procedure done, I urge you to meet with her. She is well seasoned and cares about her...

Breast Reduction 2 Days Post-op. Best Decision I've Ever Made. - New York, NY

The motivation for surgery: Oh boy, the back pain, shoulder pain, mental stress. ALL OF IT. I was a 28H. The weight of my breasts on my back was unbearable. In addition to the physical pain, it was mentally draining. I don't even remember a time when I didn't have boobs. Without getting into too many details, this surgery couldn't have come at a better time. Today: I’m only 2 days post op, a...

Heaven Sent - New York, NY

I had pain on my neck, shoulders and back. I have grooves on my shoulders and it was affecting my posture. I no longer have pain on my neck, shoulder or back nor do I cringe when I look in the mirror. Still have grooves on my shoulder but that is because of all the years I carried heavy breast.  Shopping has become pleasant again and with all the money I save by not having to buy...
