Dr Lissauer was one of three doctors I had consultations with in nyc and I had no doubt he was the best fit. This was my first cosmetic surgery. He put me at ease and his office made the entire experience easy and first class. They arranged for a private nurse to stay with me the first night to ice me and manage the prescriptions. Even when I had a scary snafu (accidentally pulled out a stitch on day 3 while brushing my hair (!) he put me right at ease and was instantly available by phone to reassure me - despite being off hours - and had me into the office as his first appt. Worth every penny!

I went to Dr Lissauer for help after I was left with uneven, puffy, lumpy under-eyes after a bad lower lid blepharoplasty. I looked worse than I did before the procedure. I truly thought I would never happily look in the mirror again. Or feel comfortable taking my glasses off. I had seen other doctors and was told they couldn’t help me. They said there could be scar tissue and excess filler from previous injections that would make the procedure more difficult. I did not know where to turn. And then I found Dr Lissauer. He was so kind and understanding from the moment I met him. I’m pretty sure I cried at that first visit. He told me he could help. He said he would do another blepharoplasty. He did not know exactly what he would find during the procedure but reassured me that the result would be an improvement. Perhaps not a 100% correction. But a significant improvement. Well my expectations were met and exceeded. I feel wonderful and I haven’t looked this good in years. The procedure was out-patient and didn’t take very long. My recovery was easy and painless. He was available by phone to answer questions. .At each and every follow up appointment Dr Lissauer encouraged me and reassured me. He monitored my progress for almost a year. I am so thankful to him. I recommend him highly!

Dr. Boaz J Lissauer was masterfully thorough. He removed a skin tag from my eyelid, very close to the eye, effortlessly. I arrived to the pristine office and was warmly met by the kind staff, with no wait. Dr. Lissauer explained all laymens terms clearly and concisely. I highly recommend Dr. Lissauer to anyone.

I’m writing this review one year after Dr. Lissauer performed a bilateral upper and lower lid blepharosplasty. If any surgery, including elective cosmetic surgery, could be considered a positive experience, then I would have to say this surgery was – not only because of the way I look but the way I feel. Dr. Lissauer was the second plastic surgeon I had interviewed and when I walked out of his office, I knew that I had found the surgeon to perform the procedure. He has a very professional and low key manner but also a caring manner and he listened to my concerns – because I had a lot of concerns. He also explained that his goal was to make me look “refreshed.” That was my goal, too. Dr. Lissauer suggested that I think about the operation and if I wanted to talk about it again, to come back. I did so -– came back about 5 months later and scheduled the operation for several months after that. Fast forward to the day of the operation – Dr. Lissauer made sure I was comfortable and the operation proceeded without any complications. There was no real pain and only very minor discomfort during the recuperation period of about 2 weeks. By the time I returned to work (after 2 weeks) the swelling and discoloration were mostly gone. I would be remiss if I didn’t add that Sarah of the doctor’s office also made this experience a positive one. She troubleshooted my questions before the procedure and during the recuperation period and helped me with the paperwork that was needed.

I always wanted to address my eyelids because they aged much faster than the rest. I was very surprised at how easy things went with Dr. Lissauer. The downtime from the procedure was minimal, less than 1 week and 3.5 months out, no one would ever know I had anything done. His work is truly perfection!
