5 out of 5 stars Acne Scars Treatment

From Pockmarks to Smooth Skin

I have had bad episodes of cystic acne. I finally got the acne under control, but was left with pockmarks on my checks that made me extremely self-conscious. Additionally, I have a large raised scar on my forehead. My dermatologist recommended Fraxel, which would treat both. After researching and checking references, I went to see a top NY dermatologist who specializes in laser surgery....

Fraxel Dual - New York, NY

I had this procedure before in the past, but it had been over a year and decided it was time to freshen up. As far as I am concerned, Dr. Geronemus is the best at lasering, hands down so I decided to take the plunge... again. I must preface all of this with I am the biggest wimp when it comes to pain and discomfort and had very unpleasant experiences with other doctors before. Dr. Geronemus...

Amazing Response to Laser Treatment - New York, NY

In one single treatment I had more clearing of my tattoo with Dr. Geronemus than 7 treatments with another doctor. He used the PicoSure and a second laser. The experience was great. He and his staff are very professional. The procedure was painless unlike the other doc who didn't even use local anesthesia. I was surprised that he also did the procedure himself. It really does make a difference...

In Office Laser Treatments by Dr. Roy Gernanamus - New York

Dr. Roy Geranamus worked miracles in one afternoon. I'm 64 woman-had a consultation and 3 laser procedures done in one afternoon visit. Dr. G.said the scar tissue "bumps" (caused by botched Dr. Norman Orentreich work 35-40 years ago) might need 2-3 laser treatments. 30 years ago, my only option was a total face dermabrasion-per Dr.Orentreich. Dr. G removed the scar tissue bumps. broken blood...

Fraxel Re:pair - Yesterday - So Far So Good

So far my experience has been very good.  But - it's too early to tell what the final results will be.  Attached is my after picture from today.  I will download the before picture when I find it. The attached picture is of my lower lids with the Fraxel Re:pair.  I will update as I progress.  I am now on day 9 and I am very happy.  I'm not sure what the...

Bad Experience with Fraxel Restore - Scars Are Bigger and Darker - Little York, NY

I had a terrible experience with this laser Fraxel Laser Restore - and it has ruined my life. It has been over 9 months now and my scars are bigger wider and darker - much more noticeable and discolored then they were, and the skin in the area looks strange. Now the area surrounding the scars in some areas is discolored. For me this was a terrible experience and I can not believe I paid...

PAINFUL !!!!!

I had blotchy brown patches "the mask of pregnancy" on my face due to fluctuating hormone levels. The dermatologist recommended Fraxel. I was told that I would feel like a rubber band was being snapped on my face. I have a high pain threshold but this had to be the most painful procedure I had ever had. I just about flew off the table. Clenching my teeth and cursing under my...

Not Worth It. New York, NY

The Dr has no interpersonal skills. He spends no time with you to discuss options. It's also difficult to even have a discussionI tried vbeam and excel two times and it did nothing. There are plenty of better doctors out there who actually take the time to determine the best treatment. Don't waste your time and money on him.
