Ariel Ostad, MD

I originally went to see Dr. Ostad because I was unhappy with my laugh lines and after doing my own research I thought I knew I needed Juvederm filled there. I was adamant that that's all I wanted because I was scared of looking like the dreaded "Cat lady" if I got too much done.  During my consult Dr. Ostad intently listened to me and in the most polite way explained why he disagreed with filling my laugh lines. In the mirror, he showed me that due to the fat pad of my cheek falling because of gravity it was pushing these smile lines to look deeper and what I actually needed was cheek filler for support! I told him I did not want to start with my cheeks for fear of look too "puffy" and to please just fill my smile lines but he disagreed and said he would not place the filler there because he knew it wouldn't correct the issue. After a moment of consideration, I decided to trust him and do the cheek correction. He showed me one side after he was done and the difference was undeniable. I realized my cheeks had lost volume and I looked like I did in my younger years. But best of all I felt like I had gotten 2 treatments in one, better cheeks, and smoothed out smile lines. THANK YOU DR. OSTAD!!! He was everything a physician should be when you have someone's face in your hands. Knowledgeable, trustworthy, and won't just do what you ask to make a quick buck. Highly recommend him and his practice.

Dr.Ostad and his team are wonderfully kind and comfortable to be around. The first time I reached out to the office, PA Schloth patiently answered all the questions I had for her and promptly scheduled my visit. During my consultation and appointment, Dr.Ostad clearly explained my problem and advised me a solution I was comfortable with and would give me the best result. The staff was always willing to help during my phone calls and visits, and overall made my entire experience amazing!

I primarily worked with Jennifer the entire visit and she was absolutely incredible, and I imagine that her work ethic & attention to detail reflects that of the entire practice. Jennifer made great conversation throughout and the procedure was fairly painless - couldn't recommend enough.

Excellent experience. Dr. Ostad is a gifted doctor with a strong artistic sensibility and high level of skill. I left his office having had a different (simpler) procedure from the one I’d walked in inquiring about and truly appreciate his having educated me with a very honest pros/cons conversation regarding what I wanted vs. what might be a better choice for me and why. I am truly delighted with the outcome of his judgement and expertise. The practice staff was professional, efficient and kind. Marlene assisted during the procedure and also has terrific aesthetic judgement.

I've been seeing Dr. Ostad now for almost 6 years, and he is without a doubt the best Dr. in New York City! After seeing other Dermatologist's, Dr. Ostad was the only Dr. to put together a comprehensive skin care plan for me, and provide me with pro active help, instead of a reactive approach His staff is amazing and I highly recommend Dr. Ostad - thanks for all you've done!

Excellent Procedure. Dr. Ostad is a very competent physician. His nurse Ellis is top notch, a real pleasure to deal with. Highly recommend. Procedure has a lot to do with the training of the nurses. In my case, Ellis was superb. She knew what she was doing and made the time go by fast. The facilities are clean. The staff is friendly.Very happy overall. Deborah

Have had a few laser treatments to remove dark spots, acne scars and freckles on the cheeks. Past ones have been successful and have done them annually for great skin peels. Unfortunately last round, melasma was tricky to remove and still visible. Will have to see if this latest will remove melasma.

I’ve been visiting Dr. Ariel Ostad for the past year for skin check-ups, Moh’s surgery and recently fraxel. Dr. Ostad, his physician assistant, nurses and administrative staff are extremely professional, responsive, on time and overall have made my frequent visits to the Dr. very pleasant. Dr. Ostad did an amazing job minimizing the scar from Mohs and I’m very happy with the fraxel results (my skin looks amazing!). I would highly recommend Dr. Ostad’s practice.

I have had the great fortune of receiving wonderful cosmetic treatments from Dr. Ariel Ostad and staff. However, my last treatment was something very unexpected. Seeing Dr. Ostad switch from my go-to cosmetic injector to my skin cancer surgeon was nothing short of incredible. Not only did he diagnose the skin cancer accurately, he treated it promptly with the utmost skill and precision. The wound is healing and my scar is barely visible (less than two weeks later). He was able to use his advanced cosmetic eye and perform a beautiful closure with minimal downtime. Thank you for your support, kindness and skill.

I have very thin skin and the veins across my forehead and my temples were very noticeable. I had two laser treatments a month apartment. I was able to do my life the very next day after the procedure. The results were miraculous. There was no visible evidence of veins on my face after the second procedure.
