Fat is often used to restore volume in the face lost because of aging or weigh loss. The purpose of the procedure is to change the unwanted contours of the face to something that is more desirable - rebalancing the volume in the face. This grafting can be tailored to the patient desired aesthetic outcome and look natural if that is the goal. If there is loose skin, however, trying to fill the face to correct the loose skin may lead to an unnaturally full face. it may be that a secondary face and neck lift would also be required to tighten the tissues around the now-smaller facial framework. The pictures demonstrate early skin laxity of the face and neck that manifests as facial decent - squaring off your lower face and neck. You also have fulness of your central neck. There is a chance you may be able to get away with a mini lift to tighten along the jaw and upper neck. To re-establish the aesthetic triangle, however, a modified mini face and neck lift with deep plane tightening of the SMAS and platysma - to lift the jowls and sharpen the neck - would give you the best improvement. You may also need another round of lipo of the central neck to improve the fullness in that area. A typical full abdominoplasty is often performed after moderate weight loss. It can be a powerful procedure that can flatten and remove excess skin and fat from both above and below the belly button. Typically for a weight loss patient without kids, the belly wall is still tight and so no plication is performed. Often flank liposuction is added to an abdominoplasty for better contouring. The improvement in contour depends on many factors. These factors include the extent of skin tightening, the amount of pre-operative muscle laxity, the overall attenuation (thinness) of the abdominal wall, the amount of intra-abdominal fat (fat inside the belly), and the amount of subcutaneous fat (fat in the skin). In addition, previous abdominal surgery can make the procedure more challenging. The ideal abdominoplasty patient is at or near their ideal weight, is stable at that weight for a year, is physically and nutritionally healthy, and is looking for help in removing excess, hanging skin.
