Post-Pregnancy Procedures
A mommy makeover is a combination of surgeries that reverses the changes brought about by pregnancy. While a mommy makeover typically includes a full tummy tuck, a combination of a breast lift and/or breast augmentation, and possibly liposuction—all performed together in a single surgical session. I tailor the ideal combination of procedures to each individual patient in my Albany, New York practice.
A tummy tuck (abdominoplasty) removes excess skin and fat while tightening stretched abdominal muscles. A breast lift, or mastopexy, raises the nipple, reduces excess skin, and reshapes deflated and drooping breasts to sit higher on the chest in a more youthful position. This can be combined with a breast augmentation to replace lost volume, with either breast implants or fat transfer using a patient’s own fat. The benefit of fat transfer augmentation is that the fat is harvested from another area via liposuction, contouring the body.
Breast Surgery
The goal of any breast enhancement surgery is to create the size, shape, and projection desired by the patient. Breast augmentation with implants is the breast surgery I perform most often in my Albany practice. The ideal breast enhancement patient is a relatively young woman with good skin quality, with breasts that don’t sag and nipples positioned at or above the breast fold. However, provided you’re healthy, there’s no age limit for having a breast augmentation—or any cosmetic surgery procedure. I also frequently perform breast lifts, with or without implants, often in patients whose breasts have sagged with time, breastfeeding, or weight loss. I also offer breast reduction surgery, to remove excess skin and tissue and reduce discomfort.
Men can also benefit from chest contouring. Gynecomastia surgery creates a flatter, more muscular-looking chest by reducing excess fat, breast tissue, and puffy nipples.

Dr. Tauber received a B.S. from Pennsylvania State University and a Masters of Medical Science from Boston University School of Medicine & Harvard Institute of Medicine. He obtained his medical degree from Albany Medical College, where he also completed a residency in integrated plastic surgery. Dr. Tauber then underwent fellowship training in aesthetic and reconstruction craniomaxillofacial surgery at Harvard Medicine College and Massachusetts General Hospital.
