3 out of 5 stars Invisalign
Invisalign isn't appropriate for everyone. I liked the days where I could be in a chair in a room with a technician or the orthodontist. The assembly line fashion of today's orthodontics precludes discussing the real issues I'm having with Invisalign. Too many youthful sets of ears are within three feet of me and are a hindrance to communication with the man himself. It would behoove orthodontists to consider the pitfalls in addition to the plusses of Invisalign treatment. If the client has large amounts of social interaction, or is in a professional position, Invisalign may not be the best route to straightening teeth. When wearing Invisalign, teeth impressions must be taken, and lag time for the product to reach the client may well exceed two months. Two months of waiting x 3 sets of trays = six months' time - minimum. It may be easier making choices for your child but I'd look at more angles if I had a choice again. If the idea of wearing braces for a year arose 26 months ago, or even 36 months ago, I wouldn't feel the need to write a review. I will be posting an update if things "shift" in any way for me.
