I always thought I would have a face lift at 50, but after consulting with Dr Emily Altman I decided another route, Sculptra. This facial injectable replaces collagen that is lost through aging and gives you back a more youthful looking you. I chose the Sculptra procedure for two reasons, first it was non-invasive procedure that took about an hour from start to finish at the doctor’s office and secondly, it let me look like myself as oppose to the fakeness that can be associated with a facelift. The aftercare is minimal, massaging the areas injected five times a day for about five minutes for about five days after the injections. There was minor discomfort afterwards from the injections, minimal swelling, but I went about my business the rest of the day with no issues and the next morning I felt fine. I highly recommend Dr. Emily Altman’s practice as I have not only experienced the benefit of the Sculptra but also laser skin tightening (for the neck), Botox & Juvederm injections. She is my secret fountain of youth.

was always sure that at 50 I was going to have plastic surgery, however concerned that I would not look like myself. Under Dr. Altman's care we talked about a lot of options that were available, non-invasive safe procedures. That would not involve surgery and allow me to go about my normal life. The laser skin tightening I have had performed on my neck has exceeded my expectations. My neck looks youthful again, non sagging, lines or wrinkles. It was painless and the only aftercare was to stay out of the sign and not apply certain creams or chemicals to the area for a period of time. Dr. Altman educated me before the procedure and spoke to me as human being one on one with respect and concern that all my questions were answered extensively. During the procedure I was constantly told of what was transpiring and sent home with full directions. This was an outstanding experience!!!

I wanted to do a laser treatment for sun damage/brown spots on my hands. Over the years more and more "freckles" were coming out and making my hands look older than I liked. I was concerned about the procedure having some discomfort, but that was quickly remedied by a topical anesthetic and Dr. Altman's caring to make sure I was comfortable through the treatment. The spots do darken and then will slough off. It's great that with this treatment there is no "down time". I am thrilled that I won't have these spots anymore.
