Dr. Patel received his bachelor’s degrees in Biomedical Materials Science at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. While in college, he participated in several research projects as a National Science Foundation/Engineering Research Center Research Fellow at Duke University in Durham, North Carolina. Dr. Patel later graduated from Wake Forest School of Medicine in Winston-Salem, North Carolina, where he performed research in the cardiac surgery and plastic surgery divisions.
He went on to complete years of rigorous training, including residencies in general surgery at Robert Wood Johnson Medical School - Rutgers in New Brunswick, New Jersey and plastic surgery at the Albany Medical Center in New York. During this period, Dr. Patel has also given back by joining medical mission trips to the Dominican Republic, providing surgical care for a variety of concerns including keloids, burn reconstruction, and cleft lip and palate deformities.
Dr. Patel has also completed a prestigious 12-month fellowship in advanced cosmetic surgery at the Cleveland Clinic in Ohio, to complete his training and education and hone his expertise.
