This man is awesome. He's down to earth, kind, and incredibly knowledgable. Both his sons are plastic surgeons also and share the office. A great family here. His daughter has a fabulous well recognized line of skin care products too. He fixes many BAD noses done by other surgeons. I was not happy with my nose tip since it hung down way too low. In a fast procedure, he lifted the angle of my tip, with very little downtime. So after two days post-op my whole face was transformed for the better. ( I'd had an injury playing baseball when I was young so it was mis-shapen) Some doctors on this sight defer to him as their teacher! He's one of the best in the NYC area by far! I give him a ten! need a great nose, see him and his sons!
Well firstly, 7500 was out of pocket, the rest was covered by insurance and my surgeon also took care of my lucrative 2600 deductible. Anyway, I'm a 21 year old girl who was very indecisive about getting this surgery and finally just went forward with it. Best decision ever! Pros: Outcome came out better than both my surgeon & I expected! Very minimal pain, doctor doesn't use padding. Was on pain medication for two days then was free to do as I please. Doctor is very hands-on and very patient. Cons: So far away! He is in New Jersey while I am in Brooklyn - would prefer someone not an hour drive away but then again, at least he has a parking lot!
"Whoops" attitude from the doctors about my procedure. Irregular shape and scarring. Just feel that Dr. Alvin is close to retirement and needs to move on. No options on placement or size of implant were discussed. Just feel like it was all a mistake. I'm looking to do my nose next but will not be going there.
