Recommend!

I went to him for the dark sun spots on my face, he recommended me a laser treatment which he allowed me to do it on the same day. It's been about one week and I love the results! Can't wait til my second treatment!

excellent - Fort Lee, NJ

He was very nice and generous. He actually took his time and explained everything to me in details. I was able to trust his decisions after I talked to him. But little waiting time on weekends but it's worth it!

Undergoing Isolaz - One of the Worst Decisions of My Life. Fort Lee, NJ

I'm a young adult who had a serious outbreak of cystic acne last winter. I visited Dr. Son, who told me that instead of getting me on Accutane, he would rather give me a series of isolaz treatments. BIG MISTAKE. Wanting to do anything as quickly as possible to reduce my ravaging acne, I was fooled by his promise that "after the treatments, my cystic acne would not come back". Well, it came back. Just 6 months after my last treatment, my cystic acne returned. And to make matters worse, what did these 6 treatments of isolaz cost me? $1400. Isolaz isn't covered by insurance at all, so everything is out-of-the-pocket expenses. So basically I blew away $1400 and held onto false hope for half a year. Today, I'm seeing a different dermatologist. It's funny because after taking one glance at me during my first visit, she immediately said I should start taking Accutane. THAT'S HOW BAD MY ACNE IS AND WAS. It's been 10 days since I've started the Accutane regiment, and I'm already seeing improvements. There is a little dryness on my skin, but honestly, I now realize I should have started taking Accutane when my first wave of cystic acne appeared. And the even better news? Accutane is covered by various insurances. Bottom line: If you have cystic acne and you're planning to visit Dr. Son, either have him put you on Accutane or just find another derm. If he tries to give you isolaz, please walk away. I know isolaz may be effective for some people, but considering the exorbitant cost, it's not worth it. Just find a derm who'll put you on Accutane and stick with the regiment. You won't regret it (and you'll be saving hundreds of dollars).
