I recommend waiting until after the nodules resolve prior to getting your next treatment. &nbsp;While there isn't any harm in treating while nodules are there, &nbsp;it is best to wait until you are finished healing. &nbsp;This occurs in most people within 6 weeks.. However,&nbsp;not everyone heals at exactly the same rate. &nbsp;I would give it a few more weeks and see how it is progressing. &nbsp;

Can I get a second treatment if I still have the nodules from the first treatment?

I recommend waiting approximately&nbsp;6 weeks after getting a tattoo to begin the removal process. &nbsp;This is a general guideline. &nbsp;You should have your tattoo evaluated by a laser provider to obtain the specific recommendations in your case.

If you gained weight since your SculpSure treatment, a treated area can become larger. &nbsp;However, if you maintained the same weight, nothing about SculpSure should increase the appearance of fat or looseness of the skin. &nbsp;Sometimes people get nodules that they can feel in the treated area. &nbsp;It generally takes up to 6 weeks for those to resolve. At times it may be longer. &nbsp;Perhaps that is what you are noticing. &nbsp;If you have concerns, you should go back to see your treating doctor and compare your before and after photos to see the actual response.

I did sculpsure on upper &amp; mid abdomen area. I am very petite, fit, exercise regularly, 35, no kids. I was at a point where nothing was getting rid of this last layer of fat &amp; increasing exercise was causing me to get too small everywhere else. At 6 wk f/u, there was improvement but not enough to expect my desired results at 12 wks so I did another treatment. Now that area looks worse- appears more fat than before. Skin seems looser too.Can this happen if the treatments are too close together?

The safest wavelength of laser for dark skin is 1064nm. &nbsp;That should work well on the dark ink in your tattoo. &nbsp;To adequately treat the colors, shorter wavelengths may be needed. &nbsp;They can cause some lightening of dark skin.&nbsp;However in certain situations they can be used safely, as long as all of the potential effects are discussed in advance and you are ok with them. &nbsp;The Enlighten Laser (Cutera) would be a good choice for your tattoo. &nbsp;It has all of the wavelengths of energy required to treat the colors in your tattoo, including picosecond 1064nm, the best option for the dark ink. &nbsp;You should have a consultation and discuss the process, and possible side effects, in person with your provider.

I have been actively looking to get three large tattoos removed. I have been browsing and attending consults however, I am unable to find a Dr. who has previously worked on African American skin. I need help. Recommendations please

It is impossible to know whether a single episode of sunburn after laser treatment will leave a scar. &nbsp;You will need to just wait and see and try to avoid other sun exposure. It is very important to avoid sun exposure to the treated area during healing and prior to laser treatment in order to prevent possible scarring and to obtain the best results. &nbsp;The goal of treatment is to remove the ink, while leaving the skin itself intact. &nbsp;The sun sensitizes the skin and makes it more prone to damage and scarring from the light based energy of the laser.

You are correct that a tattoo which contains white ink, even if mixed with other colors , might actually darken if it is treated with laser. If that occurs, it may be impossible to remove.&nbsp; There is no particular type of laser that will avoid this possible adverse effect. &nbsp;This does not always happen, but it certainly can happen. &nbsp;You should keep that in mind before proceeding with treatment and decide in advance how objectionable that would be for you if it were to occur.

I have a new tattoo with 50% black, 50% grey ink that I want to remove asap. The grey is a black and white mix surrounding the tattoo for blurry edges and the rest has many small details of black and grey close together. I read that white may turn dark with laser therapy, and then it subsequently can be removed? Is that accurate and is it usually the same with a grey mix? I also read if it turn dark nothing can be done? Can such a grey mix be removed and what laser would be best, Picosure\way?

I generally recommend waiting about 6 weeks after getting a tattoo before beginning treatment to remove it. &nbsp;Your tattoo &nbsp;should be be able to be removed with a combination different wavelength lasers. &nbsp;The Enlighten 3 pico laser has the wavelengths that will work well. &nbsp;However, you should keep in mind that red and green are difficult colors to treat and it might nit be able to completely removed. &nbsp;You should also expect that it will take between 5-10 treatments to reach the final result.

I got this tattoo about a month ago and regretted it the next day! I would like to know if there are any chances of getting this removed? If so, how many sessions?

I consider laser to be the treatment of choice for most facial veins, although other treatments can be used as well depending on&nbsp;the particular vein. &nbsp;Laser will usually work safely and effectively and the main side effect is&nbsp;temporary bruising. &nbsp;However, the veins should be outside of the orbit of the eye, or be able to be pulled outside of the orbit. &nbsp;For veins on the eyelids, or close to the eye lids, special corneal protectors need to be used for eye protection.

My previous question has pictures of my under eye veins and many doctors are recommending lasers. Is this a risky procedure? Can it turn out worse?

Your situation is difficult because of the number of tattoos that you have and the variety of different colors within them. &nbsp;It may be impossible to remove all of the ink. &nbsp;Even significant lightening will take a long time. If you truly hate the tattoos and are motivated to try to have them removed, I would approach it in the following way: &nbsp;Find a provider in your area who has&nbsp;a lot of experience, has multiple&nbsp;wavelength&nbsp;lasers for treating all of the colors, and who will listen to your concerns and work with you to achieve the best realistic results. &nbsp;It is very important to know that not all lasers for tattoo removal are the same. Don't be afraid to ask questions.&nbsp;
I would approach the tattoos systematically, beginning with the ones that are most likely to respond, and moving on from there after you are comfortable and beginning to see results. &nbsp;It is not at all realistic to treat everything at once. &nbsp;It will take time. But if you are motivated and patient you should be able to get results. &nbsp;Expect the green, yellow and purple to be the most challenging colors to remove. &nbsp;Finally, you should avoid tanning while the tattoos are being treated. &nbsp;That will decrease the possible adverse effect of skin lightening. &nbsp;Good luck.

I just feel like crying and that my body is stuck like this I don't know what to do.I really hate all of my tattoos and want them removed, I have dark colored skin and it feels like I'm stuck with them because of the color of my skin I've tried the medlight laser on one of my tattoos and though the first treatment went well the second seems like my skin has burned.

There is never any harm in waiting a bit longer to see the results of sclerotherapy. &nbsp;It will not defeat the purpose of having the first 2 treatments. &nbsp;It often takes a month or 2, sometimes even longer, to observe the final results of a sclerotherapy treatment.

I have had sclerotherapy done on my abdominal veins. I have had 2 treatments. Right after the 2nd treatment i noticed the veins were basically gone. Now it has been 6 weeks and they are back. Not as visible as they were before the first treatment, but I can still see them. Should I get the treatment again? Is it bad to wait a couple months to see if they end up going away? Or will this defeat the purpose of having the 2 treatments.
