Dr. Bruneteau is from Omaha and he attended medical school at the University of Nebraska Medical Center. In addition to his general surgery residency at the University of Iowa he also completed a residency in plastic surgery at the University of California. Dr. Bruneteau finished a fellowship in micro vascular surgery at the University of California and a fellowship in craniofacial surgery at Harvard Medical School. Dr. Bruneteau returned to Omaha in 1990 and has been in practice at ASI since that time.

His decision to become a plastic and reconstructive surgeon was influenced by his desire to help people. Plastic surgery allowed him to do this in a way that used artistry and creativity.
