I’ve always had large breast but after breast-feeding and gravity, they not only were not aesthetically pleasing but also rubbed and chafed against my skin. There are a large enough so the doctor agreed that a Lift alone would give me exactly what I was looking for!

Holy cow I was so nervous but everyone was wonderful! Woke up post op and was in some legit pain, but nothing unmanageable with meds. I am super swollen and things look a little funky, but I can’t wait to see once swelling goes down. My whole body is kind of bloated and having some trouble peeing from the meds but its only day 1. Lots of meds, water, sleep and gentle cuddles from my 4 yr old today. Sleeping in a recliner is making me kind of sore but feels better than fully reclined in bed!

My wonderful doctor has been checking in over the holiday and gave me the okay to remove the compression bandage because it was making my breathing a bit constricted due to swelling. At my 1 week appt I will learn more about what bras to wear and how to take care of my scars, but for now it feels amazing going bra less. Pretty sure I haven’t done that since I was 11! Still using the pain meds periodically but less frequent and noticing a significant improvement with pain today. Icing is amazing (when you run out of sandwich bags to put ice in, frozen broccoli to the rescue!) and took a shower by myself that made me feel human again.

The girls are starting to slowly round out a little bit which I first noticed today- at my one week postop appointment my doctor said that the full Ness at the sides would slowly round out the bottom as my stitches and scar is softened and swelling went down. I had a heckuva time days four and five as I was uncomfortable and felt like I slept the whole day away which was really stressing me out considering I went back to work on day eight. But day six seemed to be the turning point when I got my energy back and was able to go about fairly normally! I went back to work today and felt great! My doctor definitely seems like she does things a little different- she had me and no bra for the first week and now only as needed for comfort and support. But she has great results and I trust her so I am going to follow her directions to a T! The Steri-Strips are still in place and feeling kind of itchy, but I am glad that I am healing underneath there. I Might be one of the only people that is actually looking forward things dropping a little bit, right now I feel like my boobs are up in my throat and I am welcoming a little more natural look!

I am 13 days postop and this weekend the Steri-Strips all fell off which per my doctor is no big deal. However, since they came off I have been having an itchy red rash all the way from around my incisions to down my torso. I have been pretty miserable- I never thought itching could make me so unhappy! Finally I couldn’t take it anymore after four days and my doctor prescribed me a Medrol dose pack so I’m hoping that will help! It’s hard to get excited about the changes I’ve been seeing when I kind of just want to scratch my boobs off right now. Hoping for relief soon!
