Dr. Ellen did a wonderful job on my breast, liposuction, and tummy tuck procedures. Incision lines are neat and did not have any post op complications. Office staff is very attentive and available when needed. It's been a positive first experience with cosmetic surgery and have zero regrets about my decision.

A: Hello, thank you for the question and your photos! It is difficult to tell with just photos if you have excess skin remaining or just small pocket of fat in the area. If it is excess skin, this can be improved by surgical excision (another dog ear correction) or occasionally a minimally invasive skin tightening device, if it is minimal. However, if it is excess fat, liposuction is a great way to help with the contouring. Your hip dips may be less noticeable with liposuction contouring around them, but if the indentation is too much, you may consider fat grafting to the area as well.
A: Hello! Great question- implant sizing is a confusing topic for many patients. I determine the best size of implants for my patients by choosing the correct width to fit their frame. This helps the implant look as natural as possible. Then, after determining width (12.4 cm it sounds like for your case), then I use that width to determine different volumes (cc's) in each profile. Typically, I will offer at least 2 profiles if the patient is unsure on what look they desire after surgery. For your example, Sientra's silicone, smooth round moderate plus projection implant that fits you closest (if your true diameter is 12.4cm) is a 385 cc implant with a width of 12.5 cm and projection of 4.5 cm. The high projection in the same type of implant would be a 415 cc implant with a width of 12.5 cm and projection of 5.0 cm. If your surgeon is offering 350 cc implant in both projections (please clarify this with your surgeon's office), then the implants are both more narrow (12 cm width) and only 4 mm difference in projection. The high profile implant will have a slightly larger appearance, just because it projects more. There is not a large difference between these two implants, however.
A: Hello! Depending on what other procedures you have planned in your mommy makeover, adding in an arm lift may be feasible. There are quite a few factors, including the type of procedures you are having and your overall health. I like to keep my surgeries to less than 6 hours if possible. With that amount of surgery, I also recommend an overnight stay for monitoring. Good luck and congratulations on your decision to take care of yourself after all the hard work of pregnancy and being a mom!
A: Hello! Thank you for your question- I receive a lot of similar questions in my office.
Based on your photos and stated desire to be perkier, rounder, but similar size, I would most like recommend a mastopexy with a small implant to give you more roundness of your breasts. By removing a small amount of breast tissue and adding a small implant, you can achieve a similar size breast with an improved shape. Take a look at the before and after photo linked below to see a good example.
A: Hello! Many patients have a difficult time choosing implant sizing before breast augmentation. My recommendation is to discuss this further with your surgeon, as the dimensions of the implant (width and projection) are often more important than volume (cc's) in determining the overall outcome of surgery. Additionally, I use 3D breast imaging software to demonstrate the differences in implant sizes on your body specifically. This may be helpful for you to decide as well, if available at your surgeon's office.
Best wishes!
