5 out of 5 stars Mommy Makeover
The entire experience, from start to finish, was excellent. The professionalism, courtesy and quality of care by Dr. Rafael Velasco Marin and the staff at the hospital was reassuring and comfortable. The blood tests and assessment beforehand was at Victoria Clinic and the actual surgery was at Galenia Hospital. Both are top notch facilities which deserve favourable mention for their staff...
5 out of 5 stars Tummy Tuck
The tummy tuck scar is a tiny line that is barely visible. The lipo has kept any fat from returning anywhere on my body. I had very little pain during recovery and felt great once the compression garment was removed. I had to wear the garment for one month so I suggest you purchase two as I did for cleanliness.
5 out of 5 stars Breast Augmentation
He was so professional in his work and really listened to what I wanted. I told him exactly what I wanted and after many photos that I showed him, we decided on the perfect size for my body type and I'm very happy with the size and shape :) He opperates out of Gelenia, which is a really nice private hospital in Cancun. He allows you to stay the night at no extra charge as well, which is...

1 out of 5 stars Liposculpture
Left multiple horrific scars. Did a procedure on my eyes that has left me with permanent damage - I did not request the procure. He did it "to be nice". Lipo had to be redone as it was so bad the first time. Now I have double the scars and still a bad, lumpy stomach. Does not follow up. Misses appointments. Left me to remove my own stitches. Enough said?
1 out of 5 stars Facelift
Mexico does not have the high standards in medicine that the USA does. Dr. Velasco gave me a cheap thread lift with fat injections. The fat dissolved the threads are exposed through the skin. It will cost over $20k to repair. The coordinator, Sheri Burke takes your money then once things go south, she is history. BEWARE!.
5 out of 5 stars Lower Face Lift
64 years old, breast atrophy (where did they go??). He gave me a half-facelift (bottom), surgery on both upper and lower eyelids, neck lift and two new gel boobies (180 cc) . When I awoke in my room, he was holding my hand and I was covered with gauze like a mummy. He pre-ordered pain injections and my care was excellent, from both the doctor and the nurses. He followed me later and even...
Had a full face lift and arm reduction by Dr. Valesco back in November 2012. Its been the worse experience of my life. Ended up with skin necrosis and a hemotoma and now after 8 months I need surgery here in Canada to repair the damage done in Cancun. I would never never recommend Dr. Valesco to ANYONE!! Its a shame that people like myself and many other have had such terrible experiences...
1 out of 5 stars Eyelid Surgery
Eyelids left scar only. Just scar without crease folding. If you want to see picture in this matter, pls refer to the questions to the doctors on my profile. The doctor told me that it would be folded as time went, but after more than seven months, it left scars only scars. I raised the issue with this, but Sheri and the doctor did not respond to any. The cost USD 8000 includes...
1 out of 5 stars Rhinoplasty
Nose Crooked, Bulky Tip, Skin Damaged, Redness Infection Pressure from Three Ear Cartilages - Cancun, Mexico
About my nose (redness, tilting to the right, and bigger nose tip), my surgeon saw this as a natural healing process (the ear cartilages joining my original nose tip) asked me to wait and it will be okay according to the July 5th email with my surgeon, then silence forever about the issue (he never asked or mentioned the nose issue, neither did the coordinator). However, a lot of surgeon...
