If you want exceptional results, Dr. Silverman is one of the best. I had my surgery in June 2022 and feel confident and thrilled that I got the procedure done. There were no problems from my initial consultation through recovery. My mom researched for several weeks prior, and we had consultations with 3 top surgeons on the east coast. Dr. Silverman was by far the most knowledgeable and experienced, taking the time to answer all of our questions. Also, he has performed notably more gynecomastia surgeries than other doctors and has resolved all kinds of complications over the years. Without question, Dr. Silverman is a perfectionist. Extra bonus: his skilled anesthesiologist and welcoming staff were wonderful about accommodating and caring for me. Very happy!

44 y/o male who had mild/moderate gynecomastia. I put off the surgery for years but finally scheduled it for Dec 2021. I selected Dr. Silverman because of his experience, reputation and demonstrated results. His costs were very reasonable as well. He and his staff were very responsive to all my questions and made me feel comfortable and prepared. The surgery in Back Bay was quick and went very well, and the results so far are incredible. I came to Dr. Silverman 10 years ago to fix my breast augmentation that I had done with another surgeon. I was unsatisfied having ripples. Dr. Silverman replaced and fixed my breast. They looked so natural and beautiful. 10 years now and they are still looking beautiful and I still do not need to change them yet.

In the end I believe that there are a handful of top gyno doctors and you’ll be good going with any of them. Dr. Silverman is definitely one of those top doctors. I’m glad I made the decision to see him. To anyone considering gyno surgery don’t forget that there is a major psychological component to this condition. There are many people who have gyno and go about their days without it bothering them. It’s important to ask yourself why it bothers you and do the psychological work to resolve that. Chances are that there is some displaced past trauma that is being externalized through your unhappiness with your body. While I felt that gyno was a curse for much of my life, it was also a blessing that pushed me to grow spiritually and emotionally. Don’t forget to do the inner work!

Dr. Silverman transformed my life. I used to avoid looking in the mirror, especially without a shirt on. Now I stand before the bathroom mirror and marvel (with the added bonus that I’m spending more time brushing my teeth, lol!). I used to take no pleasure in clothes shopping, but now I pick out shirts I like rather than those that hide my chest the best. I used to dread summer and the beach, but now I’m looking forward to my first summer without shame. I am ready to workout more and pay better attention to my diet. The motivation is real and exhilarating. My only regret is that I did not do this sooner, but that’s OK because I still have plenty of great days ahead. Dr Silverman and his team (both Coco and Marcela deserve special mention for their warm professionalism and encouraging support) have built a practice that is surely one of the best on the country. He has the education of a doctor, the skills of an engineer, but most important, the hands and eyes of a true artist, a sculptor of the human form. He is warm and humorful and will put you at ease. I've been seeing Dr. Silverman for almost 20 years for various things (my longest doctor relationship!), but have been seeing him for fillers for the last several years. He is amazing with both his work and bedside manner, and is extremely honest - more than once, he has talked me out of doing things that he didn't think I needed to do and didn't think I would appreciate the outcome. And, he's always right - he always makes me look and feel like a million bucks. I can't say enough good things about him, and just hope he never retires so I can continue with him for the rest of my life!

Great explanation all through pre / surgery and post. The experience was simple/painless and recovery was easy. Dr Silverman is a great doctor who realy cares about his patients and no doctor is that great with just a great office staff. Thank You Dr Silverman and Coco for everything !!!

I am 3 days post op gynecomastia surgery as I write this. I want to say that I AM BEYOND HAPPY WITH MY RESULTS AND IT HAS ONLY BEEN 3 DAYS !!. I had my check up this morning and when I looked in the mirror and my chest back to normal I couldn’t believe my eyes! This is gonna sound ridiculous but I wanted to cry lol I still have some swelling on the sides and normal stuff but if it stayed the way it looked this morning I would be 100 percent happy! Dr Silverman then said it will only get better with time!!I saw Dr. Silverman in late October for a consult he answered all my questions and also explained all aspects of the surgery including any risks .. I knew he was the real deal after the consult. Dr. Silverman is highly involved with athletic people who are gym rats. I myself was a high school and college athlete so it was a good fit for me. All I can say is that he changed my life literally. I was very scared to have the surgery worried about being disfigured or complications etc. Dr Silverman exceeded all expectations and it has only been 3 days!! I’m telling anyone who is reading this go see this Dr!! This is his specialty and his hands are magical and he takes great pride in his work!! Having previously researched gynecomastia surgery online after exhausting all natural routes towards eliminating the "breast look" in my chest, I decided to price surgeries online. I found cheap options in Europe but after reading about Dr. Silverman online I set up an evaluation. I decided to go with him based on his experience and knowledge of the procedure after the initial evaluation. Coco, the surgical co-ordinator was super helpful before and after the procedure and even checked up on me weeks after I was finished. I could not be happier with the outcome of the surgery. I have regained the way my chest looked when I used to have no hesitation to take my top off in the summer time and not only did Dr. Silverman eliminate any excess in my chest but he also restored the shape and look of my chest as a whole. I am really thankful I found a surgeon who talked me through the procedure and answered all my questions before hand. I saw Dr. Silverman for gynecomastia surgery in June '17. This surgery changed my life for the better in truly immeasurable way. It's given me the confidence to wear what I want, run shirtless, and pursue relationships without self-consciousness. Upon my first consultation with the doctor, it was clear that he is an expert in this niche of plastic surgery. If I recall correctly, he's done close to or over 1,000 gynecomastia surgeries. He was upfront and honest about the risks (of which there are few if you are healthy and fit), the experiences of past patients, and what to expect during recovery. He and his coordinator Coco were responsive not only in scheduling, but also answering any other questions one might have. He even took a look at my bloodwork from my physical and gave me a second opinion.
