He’s the best — and he has an office team that is equally great- everyone is super helpful about every stage and answering all those questions you maybe afraid to ask. Saw Him in my 30s now in my Solid 60s. He has an integrity vibe that is worth paying attention to that I wish I had with other practitioners
Where do I begin? I have been insecure about my profile and weak chin for as long as I can remember. As I aged I felt things got worse and one day I finally decided to put myself first and regain the confidence I had when I was younger. I took to the internet researching local plastic surgeons and came across Dr. Volpe. Almost simultaneously the women at my hair salon recommended Dr. Volpe, so I decided to make a consultation. Some very important takeaways I feel are worth mentioning are: Dr. Volpe is an expert in his filed, he is extremely knowledgable and truly takes the time to listen to his patients and go over all your options. He is honest and will tell you what he thinks is and is not necessary as well as procedures he does not do. I also felt absolutely no pressure to follow through with my consultation and he made it a point to say "IF you choose to do this procedure" the entire time we spoke. The procedure itself, the aftercare, and expected timeline for end results were very clearly communicated and his entire team (shoutout to Marcela) was so kind and supportive. Fast forward to surgery day... I was excited, nervous , did I say NERVOUS? Dr. Volpe meet with me and his calm demeanor and confidence calmed me right down. I also never once felt rushed throughout the entire experience. When it was time to take a nap and go "under the knife" Dr. Volpe put his hand on my arm and said "your going to fine." Now, I am almost 1 year out from my chin implant and I couldn't be happier, I consider it the BEST decision / thing I have ever done! I trust Dr. Volpe wholeheartedly and whenever I visit the office I feel like I am visiting old friends. Dr. Volpe as has given me a priceless gift, regaining my confidence and in turn happiness.
I am having Chin Liposuction and having a fat transfer to my lips. I'm so happy about it. Ill post before and after pictures. I want to have it done to make my lips fuller. Fat worked in the past and Dr. Volpe is an amazing doctor. He has such a great bedside manner. I'm excited about it and I'll keep you posted! Updated on 25 May 2022: These are photos from the morning of the procedure. I am having a fat transfer to my lips and cheeks. The fat is coming from my chin but I don’t have enough fat there; Dr. Volpe is taking a little bit of fat from my bellybutton area to get better fat to transfer. He’s awesome! Updated on 25 May 2022: Dr. Volpe has been a wonderful doctor since the day I was referred to him. He has an excellent personality, and great bedside manner. He is the best doctor in the state of Massachusetts. His staff and nurses are also top of the line! Everyone is friendly and very knowledgeable. I will only go to his office for anything more than Botox. I highly recommend him! Updated on 25 May 2022: These are pictures from the day of my procedure. I didn’t have enough fat in my chin so Dr. Volpe was kind enough to take a small amount from my belly area. The area of my belly wasn’t changed or anything. I had enough Novacaine that the liposuction in my chin and belly didn’t hurt at all! I am usually nervous about Novocaine but it was really a breeze. I do have a high tolerance for pain so it is going to be different for everyone. I love my lips big, but I know they are swollen. I’ll label the pictures for you. I’ll keep you posted! Updated on 26 May 2022: These are pictures from the day after I had chin liposuction, with a fat transfer to my lips and cheek. The incisions from the lipo are under my chin, a small one in my bellybutton, and on the sides of my chin/neck area. There are two needle marks in the sides of my cheeks. I’m not in any pain but I did feel a little pain in the areas this morning. I am fine now. :) Updated on 30 May 2022: I bruised a little bit but it’s nothing major. Let’s be real: I expected to be bruised way more. I still wear the head wrap because it’s important for recovery. I’m happy with the results so far! Updated on 31 May 2022: One week later and everything is healing well! Updated on 1 Jun 2022: Recovering well from chin lipo, lipo in my belly because there wasn’t enough fat in my chin to transfer to my lips and cheeks. I think it’s going very well. Updated on 20 Nov 2024: It is 2024, and I don’t have any regrets. I wish I knew I was going to lose a bunch of weight before I did the chin lipo because I wonder if I would have needed it. Maybe I overthink. I got some Dysport in two areas of my neck last week because I don’t like the sag look at all. It’s a part of life, but I did lose weight. Not from the lipo, it just happened.
Consultation: for years I searched for a plastic surgeon who could not only remove my excess skin, but also fix my separated muscle and hernia. Dr. Volpe was my first consult. He sat with me for over an hour and answered all my questions; my appointment was only allotted 15 minutes but he sat with me and took his time explaining the procedure, recovery and what to expect. After meeting with Dr Volpe I went to one other surgeon and his consultation was 10 minutes, he was rushed throughout the ten minutes and he didnt give me a quote on the spot. Once I received a quote from the second surgeon it was less than Volpe but I’m here to tell you, don’t rely on price, rely on excellence! And I’m so glad I did. I ended up booking my abdominoplasty (tummy tuck) with Volpe! His tummy tucks include lipo and he correct my hernia and diastasis recti (separation of muscles). My case was severe, I carried twins full term and both weighed over 7lbs. The nurses and staff at his office are so nice, I called one year after my initial consultation, paid a deposit and I was given an appointment for surgery right away. I met with Dr Volpe one more time before my surgery and I showed him wish pics. He told me he would be aggressive with lipo and that I would have a flat stomach but he couldn’t promise a miracle. Results are based on your natural shape. He was honest with what a should expect. I appreciated that. I had my surgery in July 2021. The office is on Comm Ave, super nice. I met with him around 7 AM and I was in the surgery room an hour later. The anesthesiologist was nice and very direct. He told me no nausea medicine was necessary after my surgery due to the technique he uses which limits that side effect. I got very sick after my c section and I was very nervous about throwing up after a major abdominal surgery. I’m here to tell you, I didn’t get nauseous at all, never once vomited. After meeting with all the appropriate people I signed paperwork and they wheeled me back. The surgery room was small and very sterile. And things happened quickly. I was so nervous because the moment had finally come and I sort of wished my husband was by my side. In that very moment of nervousness, Volpe began to rub my arm. This is a moment I’ll always remember because it was so personal and reassuring. I was okay and he was there with me. I counted back to five and I was asleep. Recovery: I woke up and my husband was outside. I had 2 drains and a binder. The binder is A1 and I still wear it everyday. My follow up appointment was 5 days later and he removed the drains. I could not stand up straight or do anything independently for the first week! If you have kids, rest assure you don’t need to send them off to family. My twins who are 4 stayed in the house with me, throughout the entire recovery and we managed just fine. I slept in a recliner, my husband helped me get up and down when necessary. But I could not do anything on my own, such as getting food, fixing pillows, sitting down on the toilet. Make sure your hubby or your mom are there at the house with you, but again, you dont have to send your kids elsewhere - at least I didn’t. The pain is manageable, that’s the only way to explain it. Do I have a high tolerance? Possibly. But if you stay on top of your meds, even taking them 20minutes before they are due, you are golden. All you feel is discomfort and tightness. I couldn’t walk straight until week 3. Get protein shakes because you won’t have an appetite, stay stocked with you pain meds and STOOL SOFTNER, I also took Bromelain to keep swelling down. I had a recliner and a table right next to me with charger, medicine, all my medical necessities and the remote. I loved it there - haha. I have summers off so I was able to rest for a little over 4 weeks. I suggest you take off 2 weeks, nothing less. Results- Just take a look at the pics - LIFE CHANGING results. From day 1 it was unbelievable how great I looked. It was better than I expected! I’m three months in and I’m fully recovered. The swelling was something to expect but nothing impossible to manage, just wear your binder. I’m going to the gym, working and doing everyday activities. I felt like “me” again around week 3. Some are sooner others are later. I love driving and I couldn’t drive for the first 2 weeks. It’s impossible to twist so that’s the main reason. All in all, he is professional, he is the president of the Massachusetts Society of Plastic Surgeons and rated Boston’s Best for plastic surgeons. Give him a call and see what he can do. He changed my life, my body and I look better than my wish pic :)
I am only a few hours post procedure but I wanted to let everyone know about my experience so far. From arrival to post surgery, I had the most amazing experience! I was very nervous when I was brought into the surgery room and Dr.Volpe held my hand and comforted me while the anesthesiologist did his thing! I was taken care of and tended to like I was his only patient! Dr.Volpe and his team both in the office and surgery center are amazing people all around. I couldn’t be happier with my experience this far and can’t wait to see the results!! Updated on 28 Nov 2021: I added the before and after pictures! What a huge difference. I am starting to love the way they look and can’t wait for them to be fully settled and healed. I did have an issue at the “T” intersection on both sides but it’s almost completely closed and healed. Overall, I strongly recommend any woman that feels uncomfortable in her skin and considering getting a lift w/ implants GO FOR IT!
I had a tummy tuck and liposuction done by Dr. George Volpe on May 26 of 2021. Things could not have turned out better. It's been almost 4 months and I have a little bit of swelling but he did an incredible job!! My stomach is flat I have no stretch marks, the incision is lightening up he did it very low across my hips and I would do it over in a heartbeat. The doctor and his staff could not have been more friendly and accommodating. I had lots of questions nf they were always there to listen to me.
I’m so happy with my new Breast , this is my second breast Implant , my first was over 10 years ago and let me tell you dr. Volpe did an amazing job . Not like my first doctor . My breast didn’t even look like I have them done at all and I hated them . So finally 11 years later I have a chance to get it fixed and I love them . Thanks to doctor volpe , he is a very nice doctor and very attentive to his patients . Would definitely recommend him to my friends and families.
I can't say enough wonderful things about Dr. Volpe, Emylee, his RN and Marcela, his office manager. Dr. Volpe gave her the confidence I have been lacking for years! Him and his office made me feel so comfortable, they even welcomed me coming back for a second time before my surgery date to go over sizing once more.
Hello, I cannot rave enough about this surgeon. I have had several cosmetic procedures with Dr Volpe and all of my outcomes have been more than I could hope for. Recently I had a rhinoplasty with him and he gave me the nose I have dreamed about. He is sincere and honest, important to me, and also an intuitive surgeon who seeks to deliver on your cosmetic aspirations and possesses the skill and talent to do so. 5 stars all the way!
Dr. Volpe is very skilled and professional. I am 7 days post op and feeling good. I had a mommy makeover surgery 7 days ago and I'm already loving my results. Can't wait to completely heal, pain is very minimal at this time. I'm happy I went with Dr Volpe. Updated on 6 Mar 2021: I'm 4 1/2 months from a mommy makeover surgery. So so worth it!! I will do it all over again if I had to. Dr Volpe is truly the best! No regrets! If you're thinking about getting a mommy makeover do it, I recommend Dr Volpe 100% 350cc High profile implant
there is controversy as to whether breast implant illness exists. I am not suggesting that it does not exist as anecdotally there are women who will tell you that they find relief from autoimmune type symptomology when removing their silicone gel implants. However the numbers are extremely low. Multiple studies over decades have failed to show an increase in symptoms in women with silicone gel implants consistent with breast implant illness when compared to women without gel implants who seem to develop these symptoms in the same number. This does not prove that silicone gel implant illness does not exist although does suggest that if it does exist, the risk would be quite low. After 30 years of breast augmentation surgery, I have seen about 3 to 5 women who are sure that they have it. Do remember that these are generalized symptoms and can occur from a host of other reasons. In women who do not have breast implants but do have these symptoms, only about half of the time are we able to determine the nature and originof the symptoms.
there are lots of things to consider when undergoing implant exchanges. Be sure to discuss with your plastic surgeon all issues that you are concerned with so he or she can have a plan for them. Your current implants are quite small and moderate profile do not tend to achieve upper pole fullness. For sure the mentor series of extra profiles-moderate extra, moderate high extra, and high extra do all achieve more superior fullness. I find myself using moderate high extra mentor implants more and more when one is trying to achieve superior fullness. The high extras tend to be a bit narrow unless in much larger volumes. Of note in the photographs, the implants appear to be quite lateral with a large space in between. If this is your preference, fine. If you would want implants to be closer together, discuss this with your surgeon. Personally, I would place sub muscular implants and would perform medial capsule release (that means cutting the scar capsule around your current implants to allow the implants to move closer together) and also would perform what we call lateral capsular imbrication which means using long-lasting but dissolvable stitches to close down the outer pocket to prevent the implants from moving out to the sides in addition to an implant in the 300s. Hope this helps.
congratulations on getting close to your goal weight. The HPV should play no role in breast augmentation. The concerned with semaglutideis mostly related to anesthesia. Most anesthesiologists would request that you stop these type of medications 2-3 weeks prior to your surgery. Since these medications slow down emptying of your stomach into the intestines, there may be possibly food in your stomach at the time of general anesthesia with the risk that the food could travel backwards up the esophagus and into the trachea and cause an aspiration pneumonia. Therefore, stopping at least two weeks prior. Be sure to let both your surgeon and anesthesiologist know that you have been on this medication. Also, if you have not met with a plastic surgeon yet, be honest about your weight loss and also your goals. Also be honest to yourself, whether you think you will regain weight once you are off the medications or have you committed yourself to a new diet/lifestyle. Significant weight loss can play a role in breast augmentation. The inframammary fold tends to loosen. If your weight loss has been very significant, discuss with your plastic surgeon how he or she is going to manage the fold.
for sure it is possible to place implants which will increase the roundness in the upper part of the breast and make you look perkier. Of course, that comes with also an increase in size. Is this something that you desire? If you feel you can carry larger breasts, of course you could do implants. In my opinion, what is also of importance is the profile of the implant that you select. If for example you select a moderate profile or moderate plus profile and they are placed in the sub muscular position, one would not expect significant superior fullness or a perkier look. On the other hand a high profile or one of the higher than that profiles would be expected to make your breasts look perkier. If you feel like your breasts could be 1 to 1 1/2 cup size larger, your goals can probably be achieved.
one of the hardest things with breast augmentation is nailing down the size of the implant that you wish that will achieve the goal you are looking for. Hopefully you have had a long discussion with your plastic surgeon regarding your goals. The implants mentioned are relatively small and may achieve an approximate 1 cup increase. This is great if this is what you are hoping to achieve. You mentioned moderate profile implant which are the widest implants and that can limit you a little bit on sizing given your frame. It tends to give a relatively bottom heavy her appearance to the breasts without a lot of superior fullness. If you're looking for some roundness in the upper part of the breast, not fake but just to improve cleavage, you may consider either moderate profile plus or high-profile implants. If the placement location is deep to the muscle, none of these profiles will make one look fake. In deciding between 275 and 295, the difference is only 20 mL. This is about a soup spoon difference in size and is unlikely to make a large difference one way or the other. Remember, when utilizing sizers and placing them in a bra, make sure that the edges of the sizer or or breast implant is snug against your skin, rather than leaning forward in the bra. The latter could cause you to choose a smaller size.
