Lauren completed her Bachelors of Science in Nursing at The Johns Hopkins University School of Nursing in 2009. As a Registered Nurse, Lauren worked at Sinai Hospital of Baltimore in the adult ICU and then transitioned to hospice and palliative care nursing at Northwest Hospital and University of Maryland Medical Center. Lauren received her Masters of Science degree at the University of Maryland School of Nursing in 2015, where she graduated cum laude. She is board certified in Adult-Gerontology Primary Care by the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners. Lauren has always had a passion for all things beauty and aesthetics was a natural path for her to follow in her career as a nurse practitioner. She is a member of the International Academy of Aesthetics and received injectable certification from Aesthetic Medical Educators Training (AMET). She has a passion for injecting dermal fillers and can perform all of the medical services provided at PuraVida.

Karen has been a registered nurse for 4 years, earning her degree from Carroll Community College. As a single mother of 3, she relied on her strong work ethic and drive to place her at the top of her graduating class in nursing school. She then began her career at Northwest Hospital on the medical/surgical unit, working closely with surgeons. After 2 years on the floor, she shifted gears and began working for one of the plastic surgeons private practice. Although she feels she’s always had an eye for all things aesthetics, while working for the plastic surgeon, her passion really grew. She has been trained by Allergan, Galderma, Sciton lasers, and the plastic surgeon herself on laser hair removal, profractional lasers, injectables, RF microneedling, PRP, and body sculpting procedures to name some of her favorites. She believes her aesthetic eye, coupled with her continuing education help cultivate into the best possible outcomes for her patients.

Lara has been in the beauty industry for over 15 years. By using the latest in innovative technology, Lara can customize your permanent makeup to your face shape and desired look. She specializes in waxing, microblading, and eyelash extensions.
