Dr. Philip S. Schoenfeld has been a facial plastic and reconstructive surgeon in Washington, D.C. and Maryland for 25 years. The founder and medical director of Renu by Dr. Schoenfeld in Chevy Chase, Maryland, he is double board certified in Otolaryngology - Head and Neck Surgery and Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery. Dr. Schoenfeld has expertise in a wide range of facial plastic surgery procedures, including rhinoplasty, facelifts, neck lifts, and brow lifts, as well as nonsurgical facial rejuvenation treatments, from Botox and dermal fillers to laser resurfacing and nonsurgical facelifts. He also offers both liposuction and nonsurgical fat reduction treatments like SlimLipo, as well as NeoGraft hair restoration. After earning his medical degree from New York Medical College in Valhalla, New York, Dr. Schoenfeld completed his residency at the prestigious Walter Reed Army Medical Center in Bethesda, Maryland. He then served 10 years in the U.S Army, including five in the 82nd Airborne Division as Chief of the Department of Otolaryngology and Facial Plastic Surgery in Fort Bragg, North Carolina. A leader in his field, Dr. Schoenfeld’s expertise as a surgeon and teacher has been recognized by multiple local and national organizations. He was named a Top Doctor by the Washingtonian Magazine, Bethesda Magazine and DC Modern Luxury Magazine, and listed as one of the area’s best cosmetic surgeons in Bethesda Magazine. A Castle Connolly Top Doctor, he is also a RealSelf Hall of Fame doctor for his outstanding commitment to patient education. Throughout his career, Dr. Schoenfeld has used his medical talent to give back whenever possible. As a member of the American Academy of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, he provides free medical care for the victims of domestic violence through its Face to Face program. He also volunteers with Project Access, treating underserved patients in Maryland, and with the Finn Foundation, traveling to Guatemala to perform cleft lip, cleft palate, and other facial reconstructive procedures on children who would otherwise have no access to care.
