Got my boobs fixed after having babies - couldn't be happier

After nursing 3 babies for a total of 58 months, I didn’t have much breast tissue left and lots of skin. My husband and I always talked about “getting my boobs fixed” after we were done having babies. I started researching the process and doctors. I made 2 consultations with 2 different surgeons. Both recommended a lift. I knew I wanted bigger but didn’t know if I needed a lift. I really liked Dr. Theunissen after the consultation. I almost canceled my 2nd consultation. The consultation took about an hour. We talked about what I wanted. He told me what he recommended. He answered all my questions. I tried on sizers with a nurse and got a quotes for the surgery. I met with the 2nd surgeon, got another recommendation for a lift. So I ultimately decided for sure I’d get a lift. Once I called Dr. Theunissen to schedule surgery, I was able to schedule a few weeks out. I had my pre-op with the nurse about 2 weeks before. I felt very prepared for surgery. Day of surgery I was a little nervous, my husband dropped me off. All the ladies that helped me get ready made me feel at ease. Dr. T met with me before and we talked about my last few concerns about sizing. Then I was off to the OR. My post-op pain was manageable. The first day my back hurt more than anything (I assume anesthesia side effects). I only took pain meds for a few days. Then was able to switch to just Tylenol and flexoril. By 1 week post op, I was feeling a lot better. By my 2 week post-op appt I was feeling almost normal. I had my sutures removed. I was super happy with how my incisions looked. I can’t wait to continue to see how they improve as they heal. I’m now 2.5 weeks post op, I have occasional random pains in my breast. They’ve been itchy - which they said is normal. Dr. Theunissen and his staff have been wonderful. I couldn’t recommend them more. Updated on 17 May 2022: These are the night before surgery pictures. Then the first time I took pictures after 72 hours post op. I wasn’t able to shower or take off my bra for 72 hours. The last set are pictures once my sutures were removed - 2 weeks post op. Updated on 20 May 2022: I forgot to include some details in my original post. I’m 5’4” 120lbs Gummy bear implants. Natrelle inspira. 470cc in left and 385cc in right. My left was my smaller side and is still higher than the right. They’re looking and feeling great. Zero ridges on incisions. I started scar treatment today. Updated on 9 Apr 2023: Things have settled well. The scars have healed well. Scars are still a little sensitive but overall fine. There’s a slight difference in size but I’m sure that’s normal. I am still loving them!

Dr Theunison is amazing

After 3 c-sections and years of fluctuating weight, I was ready for a "mommy makeover." The consult with Dr T was great. He was professional and honest in what I could expect, and he didn't make promises he couldn't keep. I'm fair skinned and scar easily, and scarring from a breast lift was a concern I had so we moved forward with only the tummy tuck (in which he also sculpts with lipo). I am SO pleased with the results. I feel like my old self! Not to mention when I had questions post surgery ON A WEEKEND, he is the person who returned my call within the hour--not a nurse or NP but my surgeon himself. He was reassuring and helpful throughout the whole process. My results are natural looking, I have a cute new belly button, and minimal scarring from what i expected. I am 7 months post-op, and I can confidently recommend Dr Theunison for your plastic surgery needs, especially for tummy tucks.

$4,800Arm Lift

two weeks post op - Baton Rouge, LA

I lost 70 lbs and I took up cross training a year ago and developed lots of muscles, but still had lots of loose skin that exercise was not going to help. I wanted all of my hard work to show, but showing my arms was not an option. I weigh 128 and I'm 5'5" in a size 2 now. I had this surgery done Jan 2. I was surprised that there was little pain after surgery, however, the next 3 days were very uncomfortable. The swelling of forearms and hands was very bad. There's no way to get comfortable with all the bandages and compression garments. The garments rub under the arms where the incisions are the worst. The first 4 days were the worst for swelling and discomfort. By day 5 I was feeling better. Today is day 12 and the incision lines under my arms are the worst part. The last of the steri strips fell off a couple of days ago. I am covering most of the incision with scar away silicone strips and that feels nice. However, the ones under my arms are still scabby and gooey and not ready for silicone strips. I am applying neosporin and keeping them covered with gauze and paper tape bc bandaides are too irritating to my skin. The itching and needle pains have started and I'm told that this is the nerves beginning to return. OUCH! I had to remove the compression garments last night bc it was just too irritating to the incision under my arm. I know I am not suppose to go without the garments at all, but I did for a few hours so I could sleep. My incision is in a great location. Almost on the back of the arm but not quite. You cant see it from the front or the back. I'm happy with that. Also, the incision is a very fine line and looks nice and clean (except under the arm, where it's not nearly as flat and is more crooked) What I would have done differently: 1. I would have planned to have someone come to my house at 2 weeks post op to clean my house and do laundry bc I still can't. 2. I would have bought more zip up hoodies, bc that's all you can wear for two weeks 3. I would have bought paper tape and gauze for the incision line 4. Have everything you will need for 1 week on hand. No driving! 5. Prepare for not being able to reach for anything for 3 wks 6. Unless you are at a VERY sedentary job, don't even think about going back to work for 10 days! You can't reach for anything. IT HURTS! Just keeping my arms up on my keyboard at my desk for hours made me hurt! I went back yesterday, but took off today. It just took all my energy and made me hurt. I will update in a couple of weeks! Updated on 16 Jan 2014: Okay today is two weeks post op and I have pins and needles all through both arms. It's driving me crazy. Is there anything I can take? short of pain meds? Updated on 3 Feb 2014: Well it's been 4 wks and I have to say I feel almost normal. I worked out today but did not include upper body. I have full range of motion now. I do still have tight feeling in arms. And a little discomfort from that. But overall I'm back to normal.
