SDr. John Dean and his team are the best. Communication was a plus, even when I freaked out, lol. So, my pre op went very well. Dr. Dean knew exactly what I needed without me having to say a word. He was very informative, he listened, and answered every question I had. As far as his nurse, Nurse Lindsey, she is the best. Every email I sent she replied same day. Even when I had a nervous break down and was mentally going through it, she still treated me as top priority. When it was time for my Post Op I seen Dr. Riley Dean because John was out at the moment. Dr . Riley was wonderful very well spoken, informative, and answered every question and concern I had. As far as his nurse Debbie, she was very sweet and answered everything to her ability, she was so gentle with removing my gauze from my nipples . Let’s not forget about Nicole on finance . Very sweet lady and approval was fast. Front desk lady was such a sweet heart as well didn’t get her name . Overall this was a great experience , even though the drastic change scared me and the dependency on my boyfriend not being able to do anything on my own for the first two weeks. My results are lovely . I am 3 weeks post and feel wonderful. No pain, still tightness and stiffness which is normal. My nipples are healing as suppose .

Dr.Dean was awesome he went above and beyond for me no problems and no complications he took over 10 pounds of skin from my abdomen and I feel like a new person, I sat and read all the reviews good and some bad but you have to go and meet him for yourself get your own experience, I honestly can’t imagine why anyone would have anything bad to say bout him

I wanted something that basically took the years of rashes away that were firming due to the skin rubbing between lower abdomen and pelvis. I’m 18 days post op but I feel much better and confident. You will see swelling is still is present but as time goes on it will get better.

It’s been such a long time since I’ve been on here but I’m back with my breast reduction review. First off I want to say when I scheduled my appointment with Dr. Dean i didn’t have to tell him anything. He walked in and told me every reason I was there! He examined me and talked to me as if I was already approved by my insurance. He looked at my breast told me his expectations also let me know that my right breast was bigger than the other one. After meeting with the doctor the nurse took me into another room where she took pictures and measured my breast so she can send off to the insurance. She took front view, both side views, and back view. After that I wanted to speak with the surgery scheduler. After a few minutes I was called back scheduled my surgery and left. She said it would take about 6 weeks for a response from my insurance. I received my approval letter in about 3 weeks. I was so anxious and nervous while waiting. My insurance is BCBS of AL. I’m only 1 day post op I haven’t really been in pain today but yesterday I was in a little pain I took a perc! My post op appointment is in a week. I’ll post pics tomorrow after my shower. Updated on 30 Oct 2019: Here are some pictures at 1 week post op! I went to my post op appointment yesterday doc said everything looks good I’m healing well. I have a concern about an area under my right breast but according to the doc it could be a blister and he’s not concerned. I am watching this area really close I can’t afford any setbacks! He said I can put neosporin on it. My stitches are dissolvable, I didn’t have any drains, and haven’t taken any pain meds since last Wednesday morning! The pain is tolerable the only part that really bothers me is under my arms but is bearable. I’ll update in about a week or two!

Dr Dean and his staff give excellent care!! They are very professional, caring and informative. Dr Dean went above and beyond to take care of my concerns. Highly recommend Dr Dean and his staff to anyone.

Great surgeon! He is very knowledgeable and detail oriented. I came to him for a breast reduction and I’m extremely pleased with the outcome. He did a technique on me that did not include a vertical incision meeting the horizontal incision under the breast, so I’ve had no complications, no openings and no leakage! And my scars will pretty much all be hidden. I love my new breasts so much and I have more confidence than I’ve had in 10 or so years. Nicole, Dr. Deans nurse, is also awesome. She always emails me back in a timely manner when I have had any questions or concerns. This is a fantastic team and I would highly recommend them!

Not only is Dr Dean an amazing surgeon, he is kind to his patient. I really needed a tummy tuck after having a huge kid and losing weight. Not only are my result far beyond my expectations, his after care is amazing. I had a tummy tuck, breast lift, and lipo, his was a huge surgery. The day after my surgery I had one tiny bruise. There are too many things to list were he did a little extra. Not only does he care about the results, he cares about his patient. He staff is awesome, his attitude is great. I really can't put into words how happy I am with my result and my care. If you are looking, look no further, you won't be sorry.

I was extremely nervous; however,Dr. Dean made me feel sure and confident. The staff was amazing; Robin,Keith, Ronnie, and Megan (new Staff member). I’m am in pain, but it’s very minimal. I’ll keep you all posted on results. Updated on 11 Sep 2019: I was extremely nervous at first due to trust issues, horror stories for watch YouTube and botched shows, and not comfortable with the unknown. However, from beginning to end.... Dr. Dean provides exceptional service. He's knowledgeable, prompt, and accurate. He's genuine and stand behind his work. I can write a book about how pleased I am. Dr Dean is a tremendously gifted surgeon who won’t woo you into a procedure that is not right for you. He has always been straightforward and honest with me which frankly wasn’t always what I wanted to hear but what was right and ethical. I am perfectly satisfied with my every outcome and the responsiveness (during and after work hours) of both Andy and the entire APS team. They treat my concerns with the highest dignity and respect which I truly appreciate. He sees his patients timely which is also important to me.

In 1982, I was diagnosed with ulcerative colitis. This resulted in 6 major abdominal surgeries in 1994-1996, 4 of which were non-elective. All these surgeries together left me disfigured. I had stretch marks from taking pednisone for many years which caused my weight to max out at 300lbs. After getting off the predisone, my weight went back to normal, but i was left with surgical scars and 100% flabby belly. Dr Dean fixed all that and more. He re-centered my belly button and and did a mini-tummy tuck which has resulted in a 4-6 pack of visible abs again. I am very pleased. Initially, the swelling took weeks to subside. It's hard to quantify the "visible" part because I already diet and exercise. I'll call it 50/50. Pros: Already stated above Cons: numb around the surgical site; sensation has never returned
