I decided to have a preventative bilateral mastectomy at age 27. I found out I was brca 2 positive a few months after we found out my mother had terminal breast cancer. A lot of long conversations with my mom helped me make this tough choice. She passed January 22, 2015, and I had my surgery Sept 14

I have wanted a reduction for years, and finally did it! My surgeon was trained both in general surgery and plastics, and is very highly ranked (hence my increased cost). It took him 6 1/2 hours and he put in over 1,500 stitches. He also cleaned out all of my fibroids. I spent one night in the hospital. They look great, but at 2 1/2 weeks out, they still HURT. I'm back to work, sore, and only on Tylenol (apparently Advil is not recommended until after 3 weeks). All of that being said, I put on a sweater for the first time this morning and it was TOOOOOO BIIIGGGG!! I've looked at this site and it's clear many surgeons have different procedures and expectations (I had no surgery bra, and NO ADVIL-- others apparently have both). I would do it again in a heartbeat, and the surgeon was amazing.

I have had several procedures done by Dr. Digenis. He is a perfectionist. With each one, he has gone beyond to achieve the best possible result. Dr Digenis is a gifted and uniquely skilled plastic surgeon. Talented artist and brilliant, experienced, well-trained doctor. What perhaps differentiates him from others is the result he achieves is the best, better you--meaning the result is natural. I HIGHLY recommend Dr D.

Dr. Digenis always makes you feel as if you are his only patient. Wonderful doctor and genuinely cares about your well being. He always knows just the right amount and the perfect places for my Botox. I would not go to or trust any other plastic surgeon. During my search for a surgeon to perform my rhinoplasty I saw 4 other board certified plastic surgeons and all thoyusands and thousand of dollars more expensive. Most wanted to place a "plastic" to the tip of my nose? I had too much nose....not too little. Dr Digenis verbalized on how I was of German- Irish decent and how I would not look right with a little button nose....I wanted to look as if I was born with this perfect nose and not like a freak.

I wanted to have reconstruction post mastectomy surgery to help me return my body to it's original shape. While my breasts will never be exactly the same as they were before cancer, in many ways they actually look better than they did before. Dr. Digenis is a highly skilled plastic surgeon who is kind, compassionate, and clearly interested in providing exceptional results to his patients. His nurse Beth is equally wonderful. I'm just 2 weeks post surgery and can honestly say that my body looks better in clothes than it did before! I couldn't be happier with my results. I highly recommend Dr. Digenis and his entire staff. I absolutely love going to this office.
