Dr Rast is a blessing!

Dr Rast has a southern gentleman bedside manner. He set realistic expectations about the results he could achieve, executed what we discussed and them some! I am overjoyed to look in the mirror now, he took 10 years off my face and gave me better than pre pregnancy breasts! Kim is a gem, not sure of her exact title, but she runs a tight ship with a kind and patient demeanor. I completely give a 100% recommendation to Dr Rast and his team! I would also like to give a recommendation for the South Kansas City Surgicenter. The staff there from; answering the phones, pre surgery convos, check in day of surgery, caring nurses & doctors, equipment and facility.... fantastic! I had a mastopexy with small implant & quad blepharoplasty.

Compassionate surgeon! He did take care of me after my surgeon wouldn't

Dr. Rast was not the surgeon who preformed my BL/BA but he did take care of me after my surgeon wouldn't. Dr. Rast is patient and compassionate. He found the source of my pain and had me come back for two more follow up appts to check on progress. He answered all of my questions and put me ease. Dr. Rast will be my first call if or when I ever decide to have another cosmetic procedure.

I’m one week post op and absolutely LOVING the results. It is clear that he really took the time to listen and I’m so thankful

I spent a lot of time doing my research online & asking friends for referrals before moving forward with my consultation for a breast lift with implants & a rhinoplasty. I was anxious going in but I was blown away at how professional, courteous & sweet everyone in the office was. When meeting with Dr. Rast I was immediately put at ease. He was incredibly humble, knowledgable & receptive when discussing my desired outcome/concerns. He made me feel very comfortable & gained my trust when thoughtfully answering my 101 questions. I was a nervous wreck the morning of my surgery for a multitude of reasons but once again, Dr. Rast walked in the room & I knew I was in good hands. I’m one week post op & absolutely LOVING the results. It is clear that he really took the time to listen & I’m so thankful I was able to find the best doctor out there. I can’t emphasize enough how impressed I have been throughout this process & so fortunate to go through it with such a great team & doctor.

Im 1 week out and am very excited

I have always been a 32A. After having 2 kids while breast feeding my boobs were perfect. Once i finished, i missed how big my boobs were. I am 5 ft 1/2 in and weigh 112lbs. My consultation with Dr. Rast was great. I originally picked out 225 cc's. The picture before and after trying on the implants. I had changed my mind to 275 cc's just because i didn't think the 225 would get my were i wanted. My surgery was scheduled for April 20th but had to get reschedule to June 8th. Im 1 week out and am very excited. Updated on 7 Jun 2020: I am 1 day away from my surgery. The first photo is from 4 years ago after having my daughter and now they are not as full or as noticeable to me. My covid test came back neg. so i know the surgery will proceed tomorrow. Updated on 8 Jun 2020: It went quicker then i thought. Went into surgery at 10:30 woke up at 12. I did cry once i saw my new chest. My chest feels like an elephant is sitting on my chest. I have tightening on my chest as well which they said was normal. Hurts a little to take a big deep breath. I got really dizzy and light headed on my way home in the car. I felt like i was going to pass out but i think it was the heat and maybe feeling car sick. Once i sat in a cool house i felt better. I do feel sick once i get up and walk around. Updated on 18 Jun 2020: Went to my 1 week check and everything. Looks good but time to start massaging. When i massage my left one and pull in, i get a feeling of something pulling on my rib. Dr rast said it could have been from the surgery, im not showing anything otherwise. I have slight numbness from my nipples down to the scar and a little under the scar. It feels the same as my c-section scar. I don’t know if it will go away or not. Still getting used to them. No back pain like others have told me that i didn’t already have lol. Updated on 5 Jul 2020: I have been massaging them the way i was told. I have not had any problem with my boobs. The only problem i have it that fat tissue between your shoulder and boobs on my left side hurts. It feels like my muscle is being stretched. It burns and stings. I have noticed more bounce in my boobs like the normal bounce when you walk. I have my 3 week check up on the 7th so i hope everything is good. Updated on 10 Aug 2020: When I first spoke to Dr. Rast I wanted a small C cup. When he said I can wear any bra I went to Dillards and got myself measured. I wear a 30/32 DD or 32D when I cant find a 30 DD. It blew my mind. Dr. Rast went beyond my expectations and I love the girls. I can finally fill in bras the way I should. Dresses and swimsuits are more comfortable to be in. I dont have any problems with them. Updated on 27 Jun 2021: Its been over a year and the girls have dropped. My doctor said if you didn’t know about me getting surgery that they look natural. When i was swollen and still waiting for them to drop all the way, i wore a 32DD but now i wear a 32D. I love buying bras now, they are a lot more comfortable to wear verses when i was a 32A. I love looking in the mirror and seeing them, just makes me feel more like a women. Before when i was a 32A, i felt like a guy because i didnt have what most women have. I can fill tops and dresses out so much better.

Wonderful Consultation with Dr. Rast

I just had a consultation with Dr. Rast regarding fixing a few areas of imperfection after my recent BBL. He is very friendly, knowledgeable & spent a lot of time explaining all the different options available to me. He did not rush me one bit even though I was about 20min late to my appointment. What a nice bedside manner & really looks out for what will work best to reach the expectations of the patient.

mom of 1, 120lbs, 5’2”: Breast augmentation today! 415cc’s moderate plus

I’ve always just wanted a more womanly figure. Honestly after being essentially bullied about my breast size my entire life it just really ruined my self esteem. I want to be able to fit cute bras and lingerie without their being a gap in the bra because I am not full enough to fill the cup size. I am currently about 120 lbs/5’2”/A cup (if this is even considered an A cup- maybe nearly A LoL) I have chosen to go other a moderate plus profile, 415cc’s. I have my augmentation today with Dr. Rast from Associated Plastic Surgeons Updated on 14 Jun 2019: I am now about three hours post op, the girls are looking proportionate to my body. The anesthesiologist and Dr. Rast were very helpful with information this morning. I am really excited to see what they will look like in the next few days!! Updated on 17 Jun 2019: Still feel tightness in left breast more than right. I have been doing my arm raises/ taking my medicine & rubbing arnica gel on the tops and sides of my breasts. Leaving the incisions untouched. A bit easier to get in and out of bed now. Updated on 21 Jun 2019: Everything is looking good, my incisions are healing well. I can now start massaging my boobs. And can probably swim in like a week or so. Updated on 2 Aug 2019: I’ve been wearing regular no wire bras, the first month I used a band on the top of my chest to push the implants in place / decrease swelling. I am happy with the outlook so far and can’t wait for the next few months. Doctor said my skin is doing great/my incisions are skin tone. I’ve been using miderma/silicone strips. Updated on 25 Sep 2019: I am in love! They’re sitting very nicely and still have a few more months to see where they will ultimately sit. I think this is accurate though. My left side is dropping a bit slower than my Right but was told that is normal

Easy!

Easy, inexpensive, looks good four months after the fact. I had 7/8” gauges. They were able to cut them and sew them closed in about an hour with local anesthesia. I saw Dr. Rast for two follow up visits while they healed and then he was able to pierce my ears at the surgeons office. They look fine with earrings. There are scars no one could really notice but me.

Amazing Job once again

Dr. Rast is the absolute best!! I recently returned after about 3 years for an additional fat grafting procedure and scar revision from my breast reconstruction. It was like seeing an old friend. I was quickly put at ease by Dr. Rast and assured that everything I was having issues with could be corrected. And it was! He did a beautiful job and I couldn't be happier with the results.

Run don't walk! Michelangelo of Plastic Surgery.

Dr. Rast is phenomenal! My quest included several consultations and I was about ready to board a plane to South America with one final consult with Dr. Rast. It was his calm easy manner, his matter of fact medical knowledge, his belief in my own body metamorphosis and, sealing the deal, his openness to discuss that there are many person's out there who could also help but he wanted to be that chosen if it worked(Read between the lines: not money motivated but person motivated). I'm a therapist who is paid to read between the lines and his in between's was genuine, a high level of skill(see past reviews on his education and work), and a energy paired with professional desire radiating in him wanting to do a great job ad help me see life changing results. As we all know a team makes a person as well and his team leaves no disappointment. From the front desk focus driven schedulers, to one of the nurses Vickie who I emailed gruesome shots and strange questions along the way, to Sage the sweetest woman around who never blinked an eye at my saggy rolls we wanted to upgrade, to Jo who smelled wonderful and had a chipper attitude which made me want to hang out with her and laugh more. I realized I have mentioned much here from an emotional basis, however, his work on my body after much weight loss is hard to describe without pictures. Breathtakingly different in the best of ways, an artist carving and re-molding me but not changing who I am so much where someone might say "she's had work done," expedient in surgery, painstaking methodical in where what and how. All fantastic. I would send and am sending anyone who cares to hear how I feel to Dr. Rast. When you land on good people and excellent results in life it warrants an earmark to be taken serious. I am very serious about him and his work. Run, don't walk if you are interested in getting work done.

56 Year Old Nana Tired of the Overhang

I have wanted to do his for years but was always hesitant. I had a breast reduction in 2011 and was thrilled with it. I chose Dr Jon Rast because he had done some minor surgeries for my husband and myself and the results were fabulous. The day of surgery I was fairly calm and by having prior major surgery I knew what I was in for. I feel that modify the women on here have never been cut on so it is a traumatic experience. I will admit hat they have scared me a bit. I am a tough cookie and recover well from surgery. I arrived at the surgery center at 845. I was taken to preop and prepared. I put the ted hose on which I would wear for a week. The surgery went well Dr Rast also perform liposuction to the flanks and to the mons which is the pubic area. Dr Rast done the drainless tummy tuck which I was glad. I did not want to go one with drains. Surgery went well. Dr Rast injected Lidocaine in all of the surgical areas to keep hem numb for he day. This was a big help until it came time to pee. The numbness made It impossible. I drank water, he nurse turned on the Iv full blast and I drank Diet Coke. No luck. Finally at 5 o'clock I opted to go home with a catheter for two days until I saw the doctor again. Dr Rast prescribed Valium, hydrocodone and Xarelto which will ward off blood clots. The ted hose will also assist in this. I also went home with a binder around my abdomen which assists with support and the swelling. I will sleep in a recliner for a couple days before I try the bed. I have an angle sponge that I will use for the bed to keep me semi upright since you cannot lie flat. The women on here have scared me a little. But I have been through several abdominal surgeries so I know the drill. This review is basically to give hope to older active women that it is never too late. The key is being active and positive. Updated on 20 Jul 2017: Just as I figured the second day has been a little rough. The numbing of the incision area has worn off. I have not had a bowel movement in 2 days which is to be expected. I have taken stool softeners and ate some gummy fiber chews so hopefully that will help. The swelling of the abdomen has increased greatly. Everyone complains about the binder but my abdomen feels better with it. Today the nurse told me that it takes months for the swelling to go completely away. That is depressing. I have been shocked about all the supplies that people get. The only things that I think are imperative are a recliner , pillows to cushion your sides, ice packs, padded gauze for the incision under the binder, and a caregiver. The catheter has actually been nice. After tomorrow I will have to start lowering myself on to he toilet. Updated on 23 Jul 2017: Recovery is progressing. I stopped pain meds after day 2. I was experiencing constipation and just decided to grin and bear it. I did stay on the Valium which helps me sleep. I am now able to turn over a little in bed but split my time between the bed and recliner. I must stress activity. Stay up and walking as much as possible. Drink plenty of fluids. Today I feel more human than I have and I believe I am goin g to be fine. The catheter came out two days ago with no complication. PS is happy with the way things are looking. Lots of swelling which accounts for most of the discomfort. Hard to tell what the final will look like but I think an improvement on the before pics.
