Post-Pregnancy Procedures
Childbearing can result in lax abdominal skin with stretch marks and weakness of the abdominal muscles. This can cause the appearance of a lower abdominal pooch and a widened waist. Breast engorgement caused by pregnancy and subsequent breast-feeding can result in volume loss (particularly in the upper breast), stretch marks, and droop or sagging of the breasts. There may also be stubborn fat deposits in the waist, hips, and thighs. Diet and exercise may help with fat loss, but are not effective in tightening loose skin or improving the laxity of the abdominal muscles.
