I've struggled with a double chin since I had my first child in 2012. I am 5'5 and usually bounce between 140-150lbs. Even before my wedding, when I managed to lose about 20 lbs and was down to 130, it was still there. I hate even looking at most of my candid wedding photos because of it. My neck/chin makes me look significantly heavier which is upsetting because I am within normal BMI.
After years of debating it and looking into alternatives like Kybella, I decided to bite the bullet and do the lipo. I am so excited to finally have a defined jaw/chin and have my confidence back.

Sorry for the marker and gross hair, but this is the day after my procedure and I hadn’t been able to shower yet. This looks AMAZING. Everything I’ve ever dreamed of and more, even with some swelling. Hoping the results stick!
So far very minimal bruising and very little pain.

Now two weeks post op. Not much to report in the way it looked between day one and now, but I did include a picture at the one week mark. Bruising got a bit worse during the first week down my neck and even a little on my jowls, but nothing that couldn’t be covered with makeup. Swelling fluctuated day by day, so some days looked better than others, but I just wore my compression and that definitely helped.
The biggest part of the healing process happening now is just lumps/bumps. They aren’t noticeable to others, but I can definitely feel them. Doctor said it’s totally normal at this stage and they can persist for another month or two. I’ll massage them a few times a day to see if it helps speed things along. Incisions are SO small and totally coverable with makeup just like a break out.
Overall, I’m absolutely thrilled. I’ve regained a lot of my confidence and I’m totally happy I did this.
