A friend referred me. They got me in for an evaluation and following procedure quickly. The procedure itself wasn't too bad but sitting in odd positions so it didn't detach was fairly uncomfortable. I had some numbness and nerve sensitivity afterwards but it wasn't too bad. I feel I see some results under my belly button but not sure if I see it on my flanks. I am still only 8 weeks out. Beth was knowledgeable and professional.
At the time of my CoolSculpting procedure, I was a little less than one year away from my wedding. I began a diet and exercise regimen, yet there were some stubborn areas of my abdomen that I could not seem to get rid of with diet and exercise alone. I had heard about CoolSculpting and when I saw that Dr. Venetos offered it in her office, I asked her about it. I've been a patient of hers for years and trusted her, so when she told me about it, I was sold. It almost sounded too good to be true. Come to find out, it actually was better than expected! It was right before the summer months were about to begin and I wanted to look great for that, as well as my wedding in the winter. I was pleasantly surprised how easy the procedure was and how affordable it was. I was in the office for a few hours (during lunch) getting it done, and was back at work after. My fiancé did not even notice anything different that evening. Ha! The procedure itself was relatively easy. When the CoolSculpt was first applied, there was a tightness and a bit of discomfort, but that went away after a few minutes. I was able to sit there and relax while my fat melted away. Within a few months, I was able to tell a huge difference. I would absolutely recommend this procedure and I had a great experience and outcome with it. I'm beyond happy with results and would have no hesitation to get it again in other areas if needed.
My initial intent was to reduce my waist, which has increased since I went into menopause and no amount of diet and exercise seemed to help. Once I started, I was acutely aware of the fat on my back that came along with the larger stomach so I've begun working on the back (including bra fat) as well. I've had procedures more than once and the cost varies depending on the size of the area we're targeting and how many procedures are needed/desired.
As a 45 year old woman in perimenopause my body weight composition started changing and my weight started to creep up. I was in desperate need to reduce the areas on my back and love handle region and discovered Coolsculpting was my solution. I contacted Dr. Tina Venetos office in Lake Forest, Il and had my treatments performed by her Aesthetic RN, Beth. Dr. Venetos staff made me feel completely at ease from the assessment of my needs, threw out my treatments as well as the follow up. Six treatments to my back/flank area, 3 per side were performed and as you can see by the results it is greatly improved. Highly recommend!
Was her patient for 10 years. She was always just okay. Spent very little time with me during my appointments, just would prescribe different things for my acne. After going off of birth control, my skin broke out. I went to her for a cortisone injection on my forehead to reduce the size of a deep pimple. She ended up injecting way too much and left a large dent in my forehead that took 4 months to go away! It was absolutely horrible and traumatizing. When I called to tell her what had happened, she never returned my phone call! After 10 years of being her patient! She doesn't care about her patients at all. Stay away from this doctor.
After menopause, my weight soared. Years of dieting bore no results, so I decided to Coolsculpting. Unfortunately, after two rounds both back and front, there is no visible difference. You cannot tell the which set of photos is "before" and which is "after." Worse, I used to wear a long line bra to smooth out squishy bulges: Now the bulges are hard and do not recede behind tight underwear. Definitely not worth it. Updated on 15 Sep 2014: Just this morning I was again unpleasantly startled when I pulled on my slacks and the edge of my hand hit the hard roll of fat around my middle, a sad little souvenir of my "coolscupting experience."
