So happy with Ziering Medical

Dr Kinler exceeded my expectations. I had 3000 grafts done 6 days ago. I am so glad I chose Ziering Medical for my hair restoration. The whole experience was 1st class. I will recommend them to anyone I know who is looking for help with their battle against hair loss. Thank you Dr Kinler

Highly Recommend Dr. Kinler and Ziering Medical

I had a 2454 graft FUT done with Dr. Kinler this week at Ziering Medical in Oak Brook. I had a great experience! Dr. Kinler and her staff are awesome. Everyone was knowledgeable and was able to answer all of my questions. On the day of the procedure, they made sure I was comfortable and were very attentive throughout the day. You can tell that they take a lot of pride in their work, and I think that has a big effect of their results. It’s early, but I’m very happy with what I have seen so far and am excited to see the final outcome.

Dr. Rae Lynne Kinler & Team Are Exceptional - Ziering Medical Is Where You Need To Go

I chose Dr. Rae Lynn Kinler of Ziering Medical in Chicago for a 2nd FUT procedure In November of 2017. My 1st session FUT was at Ziering - Newport Beach - in October 2016. I am a male, age 48 and a Norwood V. In session one I flew to Newport Beach where Dr. Christopher Varona began by performing a ~3100 graft FUT procedure. This was intended to build my hairline (frame my face), temples and reach back through the crown. The result was so stunningly successful - it was a completely stand alone procedure. At the 12 month mark I realized that I wanted to wear my hair long - why not add density if this works so well?. Since I live in Chicago, I consulted with Dr. Kinler for the density procedure. This session was designed to reinforce the frontal zone, the left part line and a full completion of my crown restoration. Dr. Kinler performed a ~ 2600 graft FUT procedure to accomplish my goal. ***I have provided my full experience of the procedure in the Ziering Chicago section that I encourage you to read.*** Dr. Kinler has an incredible team of technicians that work along with her. She is extremely talented, experienced, honest and extremely kind. Her skills from working on celebrity clients in the Beverly Hills office are significant (as she works with Dr. Craig Ziering and completed a fellowship under his wing). I recommend Dr. Kinler and her team with the highest rating possible. I did so much research to choose the surgeons, and I am most fortunate to have had both Dr. Kinler and Dr. Varona complete the work. Remember Ziering Medical specializes in hair restoration ONLY and utilizes FUT, FUE & ARTAS Robot depending on each patient's situation. She is an artist and has devoted her career to only performing hair restoration. Please read my full review of Ziering Medical, Chicago here on Realself for details. If there were 6 stars, her and her team would get that rating from me.

Patchy Beard

Always had a patchy beard and wanted to enhance some areas. Pros: I'll have a nice beard. It's been about 3 months post procedure and already I'm noticing growth in areas that were worked on. Cons: need at least 3-4 weeks for recovery, so plan accordingly. It's best to have someone drive you on the day of procedure if doing a lot of grafts.

Well-trained caring physician with sense of style

Well-trained caring physician with sense of style. She did two surgeries for me; I was so impressed with the first one that I came back to her and only her for the second one. She has a pleasant bed side manner too.

Zierring Top Notch - Chicago, IL

I went to Zierring upon my son's request. I met Doc Rae Kinler and she went through every option and detail with perfect precision. She left you with the impression that you were not just another patient. Clearly this was the best consultation I received. I made my decision right then and there and decided to proceed with Zierring. The day of the procedure was smooth, comfortable and Doc Kinler was an artist at work with her canvas. The supporting staff were also so professional, with a warm a friendly demeanor. They made you feel so comfortable and the day just flew bye. Post op has also gone smoothly with no complications and the staff is there for you if needed. Zierring medical is a notch above all other hair transplant organizations. I'm looking forward to the final result of my 3153 grafts. I will be back for one more final procedure in 8 months..

Smart, Artistic and Caring!

Dr. Kinler was the best doctor I've ever had the pleasure of seeing. Not only was she very descriptive and great at communicating the different options of hair restoration surgery, she is also an artist and understands the natural flow of hair. She doesn't treat you like you're just another patient, another day either. When you are in her office or sitting, getting the procedure done, you can tell that you are the priority and she will always do her best work! I am going through the healing process of the recent FUE procedure she and her amazing crew of nurses did for me, but I definitely plan on going back to Dr. Kinler for more procedures in the future.

I Now Have Three Bare Spots.

My Appreciation: Her professionalism and good bedside manner; the incision on the donor area healed well without any problems; antiseptic post-surgery cleansers; detailed info on the stages of healing; office staff was always friendly. My Disappointment: 1. Three Bare Spots Dr. Kinler made the incision on the donor area (scalp) and the incisions on the recipient area (brows). Two nurses inserted the donor hairs into the incisions on the brows. One nurse was experienced and gave me a decent (left) brow that can be trimmed down, in terms of the width of the brow, to fit my small face. A less experienced nurse, who Dr. Kinler and the senior nurse both observed separately and praised while he was working, implanted hairs that grow in the wrong direction in some spots and cannot be trimmed to fit my face. The (right) brow that he worked on also has two sparse areas, that I now have to pencil in everyday. The (left) brow, with hairs implanted by the senior nurse, looked perfect once it healed. It now has a conspicuous bare spot because of erroneous aftercare instructions, which recommended "threading" to shape transplanted brows. I was told in written aftercare instructions and verbally that "threading" cuts brow hairs close to the skin, making it a safe option for transplanted brows. The second time I got my eyebrows threaded, brow hairs were pulled out by the roots and never grew back. After this happened, I started to read different threading salons' websites, and many of them boast about pulling hair out by the roots! Threading should not be recommended. The only safe way to tame transplanted brows is to trim them with scissors. 2. Did Not Give Me the Brows I Asked For Just before the surgery, Dr. Kinler drew the outline of brows on my face to help determine size and shape. I asked her to make the brows more narrow, because dark and wide/thick eyebrows look masculine and out of place on my small face. She assured me that the brows will shrink as they heal and recommended threading to change their size and shape. The brows did not shrink. Threading is not an option. I feel more self-conscious about my brows now then I did before the surgery. (My dermatologist reminds me how inappropriate they look each time I see her. It's embarrassing.) Conclusion After one year of healing, the sparse areas remain sparse. The brows remain too wide/thick for my face. Dr. Kinler and I met one final time, and I expressed my concerns to her. She remained friendly and took my concerns seriously without becoming defensive. She offered to perform a another transplant to fill in the three bare spots, charging me only for the operating room costs. The price that was quoted to me is more than I can afford right now. (The transplant was a gift from a family member.) I am stuck with these brows for the foreseeable future.
