ThermiVa utilizes radio frequency energy to treat the vaginal tissues.  It stimulates collagen and improves blood flow to the area which can help with symptoms of stress urinary incontinence, vaginal laxity and dryness associated with menopause.  It can safely be done while on accutane and should not have any negative side effects or compromise the results of either treatment.  

PRP has many wonderful benefits for hair loss.  The  growth factors present in patient derived platelet rich plasma stimulate hair to stay in the growing phase which improves density and thus the appearance of hair.  It also has anti inflammatory properties and can improve the blood supply to support hair follicle growth.  There are minimal side effects and risks.  Some patients may experience mild swelling and feel a heaviness post injection but this subsides quickly.  In your particular case I would recommend seeing a qualified physician to evaluate your hair and address all of your concerns. 

I would suggest seeing a Hair Restoration expert for your hair loss. I'm excited to hear that you've noticed baby hairs growing in! This gives you a good step ahead of the 'hair loss game' so there are a few things you can do to maintain them and help more grow in!

1. PRP treatments will stimulate your baby hairs, especially if they are dormant and need a boost for growth. A benefit of PRP is that stimulated hair follicles grow in thicker and healthier. Which can enhance your temple hair volume.

2. Consider vitamin supplementation. Nutrafol hair supplements have a wide arrangement of nutraceutical components that have longstanding history with holistic hair growth. 

3. Prostaglandin-based hair treatments. There are very few products on the market, but prostaglandins have proven in research to help stimulate hair growth (one example is Revitalash volume enhancement foam). There are some research studies that show prostaglandin treatments to benefit even more in addition with Minoxidil use. If you're continuing to use Minoxidil, this option is worth a try. 

The best part of these treatments is that they all have specialized methods for hair growth and do NOT counteract each other. Keep in mind, these are just some ideas. I have had many patients that have utilized these treatments, both separately and in combination, that have loved their results.

I believe your facility is misleading you about the effects of PRP injections. Platelet Rich Plasma doesn't necessarily recover "lost hair", but it stimulates dormant follicles into growing phase. Therefore, you need to know that you have dormant follicles (or miniaturized hairs) to stimulate in the first place. With successful PRP treatments, patients will see improved hair nourishment, improved hair fullness, and some growth of new hairs. I hope your facility didn't encourage that you would recover 50% of your lost hair. Based on limited research and evidence, there is no certain 'hair growth rate' from PRP injections. The result varies for everyone. 

Also, I want to correct the PRP effect timeline. The PRP treatment does not have a phase of "stopping the hair fall". One PRP injection alone will draw attention to dormant follicles and if the right conditions are met (vitamins, antioxidants, hormones, growth factors!) the follicle will begin growing. Visible hair growth is typically seen about 10-12 weeks after the first injection. Physicians will advise having monthly injections for persistent growth stimulation. 

I would suggest seeing a Hair Restoration expert for your hair loss. It may be beneficial for you to have a Trichoscopy examination of your follicles. From there, you physician may request possible lab work to determine your pattern of hair loss.

Finasteride and PRP work by different mechanisms, and therefore, should be okay to do both. In fact, many of my patients acquire both together.

Platelet Rich Plasma treatments are great for stimulating growth of miniaturized "dormant" follicles, which ultimately thickens the hair appearance. It may be beneficial for you to have a Trichoscopy examination of your follicles. From there, you physician may request possible lab work to determine your pattern of hair loss.
