1 out of 5 stars Hair Transplant

41 Year Old, Balding, Female ... Desperate for Hair. Elmhurst, IL

The day of my procedure Dr. Barsky performed the portion of the surgery in which the hair grafts are harvested. In other words he made an incision in the back, donor section, of my head and excised a small strip of scalp to be transplanted. After that I never saw him again until eight hours later. During that time I was getting my 350 transplants .... WHICH TOOK EIGHT LONG HOURS! When asked why it was taking much longer than it was supposed to take, the technician doing the surgery admitted that he was a newbie and that this was his first time performing this procedure ... EVER! To add insult to injury, the tech was taking so long that he had to keep injecting me with the numbing agent which made me very nauseated. Dr.Barsky showed up again at the finalization of my eight hour ordeal, to wave goodbye and wish me well. Well? I vomited for two entire days after that. ( Dr. Barsky claimed it was because I had had so much Lidocaine during the long procedure. I was very, very, disappointed with my procedure and would never go back to Dr. Barksky ... for anything. Since that time I have had an additional hair transplant surgery. One in which the physician stayed for the procedure AND he transplanted 2418 grafts in seven hours. And, I had no nausea or vomiting.
