Mommy Makeover with Dr. Phan – Hawaii Plastic Surgery Institute About a month ago, I had my mommy makeover with Dr. Phan, and I can honestly say he exceeded every expectation. He is a true artist who takes his time, values natural beauty, and offers honest recommendations tailored to your best interests. I had very saggy DD breasts after breastfeeding two kids (both for over a year). I was proud of being able to do that, but once the milk was gone, my breasts looked deflated and sad. I’ve followed Dr. Phan’s work for years and always admired the natural, elegant results he creates. I knew he was the surgeon I wanted. Unlike some doctors who prioritize profits over patient care, Dr. Phan has strong values. He won’t perform procedures that don’t benefit the patient or have lasting effects. My skin was very thin, and I’ve had large breasts since middle school, so Dr. Phan explained that implants would eventually be tough on my body. Instead, he recommended an anchor breast lift with fat transfer. It was the best decision ever. I finally have the full C-cup I’ve always dreamed of: perky, youthful, and perfect for exercise, as well as the clothes I’ve wanted to wear for years. The fat transfer was a bonus because I got lipo on my hips and inner thighs, problem areas that started after my first pregnancy. I also had the Pixel laser treatment for my hormonal acne and dull skin. Nothing else (not even facials) helped, but this gave me glowing, refreshed skin. Now, one month into recovery, I feel overjoyed. My results are beyond what I imagined, better than I could have ever hoped for. My breasts are the best they’ve ever looked, my thighs no longer rub together, and I can actually see the difference in my hips. I even wore a backless dress for the first time in my life, and I felt sexy, beautiful, and strong! Recovery was much easier than I expected. With a 2- and 4-year-old, I was nervous, but by two weeks, I was moving around and back to regular life (still being careful, of course). Plastic surgery isn’t something to bargain-shop for—you need quality, professionalism, and an expert eye. Dr. Phan gave me all of that and more. He didn’t just see me as a patient; he saw me as a mom who deserved to feel like herself again after sacrificing my body for my kids. His office is luxurious and calming, his staff is tender, kind, and professional, and I felt completely safe going under for surgery. Dr. Phan truly changed my life. I highly recommend him to any mom considering a mommy makeover. In my opinion, he is the best in Hawaii.
I’ve had several procedures performed by Dr. Phan and have been extremely happy with all of them. He is very skilled and his work looks so natural. I love that he offers IV sedation and local anesthesia for his procedures. He is also personable, and takes the time to answer questions and explain everything in detail. He is wonderful with the follow-up after surgeries and is always very quick to attend to any messages or concerns. My most recent procedure was for a mini face lift under local anesthesia with fat grafting to the face and a chemical peel. I am 7 weeks post-op and love the results. I have no visible scars and most people have commented that I look great, but no one really knows for sure if I had anything done. I look like myself, but younger! The staff at Hawaii Plastic Surgery Institute is also wonderful and his office and surgery center is high tech and immaculate. I have recommended Dr. Phan to many friends and will definitely return to him for any future procedures.
At my age (42) and after breastfeeding two babies (a long time ago) my boobs were decent in size but pretty much lifeless. I’ve been wanting to get breast augmentation for a while now but wasn’t sure implants were for me - so I was really excited to learn about fat transfer to breasts. I was even more excited & happy to find that Dr. Phan does this procedure in Hawaii. I dove in - did lots of research & obsessed over his gallery of before & after photos! Dr. Phan is absolutely wonderful. He is very knowledgeable and shared a lot of information with me during the consultation. He is real & honest- he did an exceptional job explaining the entire process and was very understanding of what I wanted & needed. I can’t explain to you how nice his team is too! It was always a pleasant conversation while scheduling and planning for the operation. The day of I couldn’t feel more comfortable and cared for. It was really, really nice - especially because I was so scared. Overall I would say it went perfectly for me. Very smooth, very easy. I just took extra strength Tylenol post operation and that’s it. I was able to catch a flight back home the next day and back to my office job a few days later. I am in love with my new real boobs- that are all me! I am also sooo happy with my bottom half too - my swelling is almost pau and my shape is coming through. I’m starting to feel really confident about my body again! It’s been 3 weeks now & I have absolutely no regrets and definitely worth all of it! I couldn’t be more grateful to Dr. Phan and his entire team for making my dream come true.

My first experience with Dr. Phan was 15 years ago, when he fixed a botched procedure done by a different surgeon. I recently had a mini face lift and chemical peel by Dr. Phan, I’m so happy with the results he did such an amazing job. I had no bruising with minimal swelling and redness. I was back in the gym on the 6th day. He made me feel very comfortable during the entire process, I had no anxiety. He also gave me the option to have my procedure done under local numbing instead of general anesthesia. I was all in for that because I didn’t like the side affects from anesthesia, especially experiencing nasuea. He’s been my surgeon for 15 years and always goes the extra mile. Dr. phan is an exceptional surgeon, his experience and professionalism shows in his work, because he’s the best I never worry about the end results because he always exceeds my expectations and more. Dr. Phans team has been an exceptional team, always available to answer questions and always giving me the best support needed. They always made me feel like I’m apart of the family. I highly recommend Dr. Phan and his team based on the positive experience that I’ve had in the past 15 years.

I had a lower facelift ,necklift, fat transfers to face and lips performed by Dr. Bao Phan on Nov 1st, 2023. I am very satisfied with the results. Dr. Pan and his staff, both on Kauai and Oahu, were extremely professional, friendly and thorough. Communication on all levels is top notch and my questions always answered. I am just passed week three. As expected the first week was challenging , but managable. Once the chemical peel started coming off and the swelling reduced, the results are astonishing Dr. Phan is truly an artist and I highly recommend him to anyone considering a procedure. DO IT!
