I had a consultation with Dr. McGovern in April and scheduled my procedure for June 30th. I am 26 days post op and it is truly the best decision I ever made. I didn't find a lot online about her, so I went with my gut. I am so happy I did. You would just love her! She's sweet, funny, and most of all very smart and knowledgeable. If you are nervous, the moment she steps into the room, she will erase all of your fears. Her wisdom is amazing! Anyways, I got a tummy tuck with my inner muscles sewn back together (internal corset) and lipo of the flanks. She did not lipo my stomach area she will not put you through that unnecessary pain and she explains why that's not the ideal thing to do with sending the body through that trauma. I researched and many great surgeons won't do lipo in the tummy area. I'm almost 4 weeks and my progress is moving along good. I am 52 years old so I wasn't expecting an immediate snatch but it is looking good everyday. I am very pleased. Oh and she is so talented. Her office is beautiful. The paintings on the walls and doors, she did herself. She has two locations, Statesboro and Savannah, GA. Her Savannah office has a surgical center right in there. It is set up TOP NOTCH! You would forget you are at her actual office (on the other side.) It looks like a hospital. I could go on forever. After care is awesome. I will post pictures as I progress. I have swelling which is normal. First thing in the morning I need to catch a good picture of myself before I swell Lol! I will definitely add photos when I can edit them smaller, but keep in mind I'm still healing and swollen.

As always the staff is very kind and friendly. Dr McGovern is wonderful Doctor and surgeon. She takes the time to explain everything and make you feel so at ease. I would recommend her services to anyone! Penny Coffey

I meant to review Dr McGovern a few months ago as she always does an incredible job. Today I went to a regular physician who was new and she was so shocked at my age she asked what I had been doing. She wrote down Dr McGoverns contact info. Thanks Dr McGovern or as my husband calls her Dr McPerfect!!! She has been doing fillers , and dysport for me for years and also recommends specific laser treatments done by Robin.

Yesterday at 11am I had Vaser treatments on my lower abs, upper inner and outer thighs and inner knees. 7 incisions total. I was put under General Anastesia so I don't recall the actual surgery. I woke up roughly 2 hours later shivering cold. I was given a pain pill immediately. I had a long commute home and was grateful when the pain pill kicked in. I took one more pain pill before bed. I had a fitful nights sleep but I wasn't in any pain. I'm leaking pretty consistently which I understand is good, part of the healing process. I awoke in the night to use the restroom and had a strong feeling of nausea but it happened just once. In the morning I took 2 Tylenol and the Celebrex for swelling. No pain pills were necessary. I am all wrapped up in a garment and yoga pants and feel like a sausage. I was able to take a really nice walk on the beach today. It feels good to walk. I just have a hard time bending to get in and out of bed and in the restroom. I did gain 3 lbs since my surgery yesterday! I feel slightly swollen in my legs and even my face. My tummy is flat though. Excited to see final results but I can already make out a difference. Here are my pre-Vaser pics. 5' 5" 130. Will post some after pics soon.

Perfect lips by dr McGovern She is amazing Symmetry perfect Received filler from dr McGovern a few times per year as well as dysport. Decided to add photo of results of lips as anyone who has had lip fillers knows it is difficult to find an expert in lip augmentation She is the one of the most caring and competent physician you will ever meet.

I had a breast reduction about 6 weeks ago and I have to say I LOVE my new look! Surgery was a breeze, the staff was wonderful, and Dr. McGovern made me feel so at ease before and after the surgery. I couldn't be happier with the outcome! I'm 24 years old and I feel like I have my life back! I went from around an E to a C. My recovery process has been as easy as it can be for a breast reduction.

I am a long time patient of Dr. McGoverns and I have been to other PSs as well in the past in Savannah and Dallas - they have all been good but Dr McGovern has the ability to make you look like yourself only better and younger . She is also a master at symmetry of the face. Not only did she take about 10 years off my face with injectables in less than 20 minutes but is such a fun and kind physician as well. Thanks again!!! My procedures were everything I hoped for. I was researching for years to find the rite surgeon for me. I was blown away with the experience and expertise while attending a seminar held by Dr. McGovern and her staff. Cost was not inflated, I was able to pay cash.The consult was my deciding factor. I went in with a couple ideas but was shown other options as well, which now I see cause me to have an even more amazing results!!

The surgery center was so intimate that I felt like I mattered and was not just another number or surgery. The care I received before, during, and after my elected procedures was the best I have ever encountered. I appreciate that any questions I had were tended to within minutes of calling even when in the middle of the night. They believe in the idea of "on-call" where I was put at ease of any concerns that I had without regard to office hours. Updated on 3 Apr 2014: This is really hard for me to post and allow others to see as it is a side of me that I have hidden for years. I know that when I was deciding on my surgery and whose hands I put my life in was a very important decision. I wanted to see what the doctor's work looked like so I am uploading pictures from 6 week pre-op. Please do not judge and if you have any questions I would be happy to answer them. Also, some history on me...in 2007 I decided to get a breast reduction that my insurance carrier covered with a mandatory amount that had to be removed from each breast. After 3 children I had more skin then breast so I was left with very small breasts. Before the reduction I was a full curvy woman but after I was left extremely pear shaped. Also, I was VERY sunburned so I look REALLY funny! Updated on 3 Apr 2014: Dr. McGovern asked me to wear a corset 24/7 until the day of surgery. I already enjoy tight lacing a steel boned corset so I was excited to wear them often. Trust me on the fact that only taking it off to shower made it very tiring. Dr. McGovern assured me that it would help my muscles get prepared for the coming surgery. I was surprised after I saw the difference from 5 weeks earlier to the day this next round of pictures were taken. How should I start? Well, I am 28, 5'8, 138 pounds. I was very big when I was younger. My max weight was 236 pounds. I have had my weight off for 12 years now. I got tired of seeing extra skin so for many years I wanted a tummy tuck done. God blessed me with enough money this year to get it done. I had my surgery on May 9, 2013 I have not had any pain. My surgeon put something in my tummy when she did the surgery. I have been off my pain meds since day four. If you have any question please feel free to ask.
