So Happy with my Results

I went to Dr Dejoseph after losing 40 pounds and just really being ready to do something about the loose skin around my neck! I had been to several plastic surgeons about 3-4 years ago, and while they were the top in their field, non of them really inspired me to pull the trigger (thank God, because after losing weight I would have had to redo my surgery). Dr. Dejoseph had been recommended...

Fractional CO2 Laser Full Face - Sandy Springs, GA

I am 55 and chose to get a fractional CO2 laser treatment to my face to correct color changes due to sun damage as well as to smooth fine lines in places that seem hard to get to. I would do it again a skinny minute! It was about five days of crazy but after all was done, I can go without foundation and my face has smaller pores and smoother skin. I love Dr. Dejoseph. He is honest and...

Feeling Nervous but Ready

I was heavier when I was younger and went through menopause early. That left me with a bad combination of loss of collagen and loose skin around my neck and face. At 58, I decided it was time to do something about it. I went to see Dr. DeJoseph who recommended a mini facelift and a neck lift. I also did a laser resurfacing to remove a lot of sun damage. I was extremely happy with my...

Book with her today!

Jennifer Barnett is hands down one of the best in her field. She takes the time to have a consultation with the patient reviewing your needs and expectations and has some of the most advanced equipment and procedures in the business. I am not one for a "hand and foot massage facial". I am looking for results and Jennifer Barnett has helped me achieve them.

64 Q&A

Q: Would a neck lift get rid of the creases on my neck?
Answered by Dr. DeJosephJanuary 25, 2015

A: The wrinkles on your neck are the horizontal kind that are from folding of the skin.  A neck lift won't necessarily get rid of them.  I have filled these and have had great success with that.  Its in the office for 20 minutes and done.  It may require some maintenance filler injections several times a year.  Hope this helps

Q: What is the best aftercare treatment for laser tattoo removal (PicoSure)?
Answered by Dr. DeJosephNovember 17, 2014

A: Keep it simple is rule of thumb for aftercare.  I like to have patients use Aquaphor ointment on the treatment site for several days.  Keep it clean and showering is actually good for it so get it wet.  No swimming pools or lakes for 2 weeks.  Q switched laser treatments heal incredibly well with fairly simple care.  Best,  Dr D.

Q: I have had a nasal cauterization in the past. Can I still get a rhinoplasty surgery?
Answered by Dr. DeJosephDecember 4, 2013

A: Having had cautery to nose as a child should not affect you having a rhinoplasty as an adult. Seek out a surgeon with extensive experience in rhinoplasty as it truly is a sub specialty of plastic surgery. They should examine the inside of your nose as well to make sure the lining wasn't damaged prior to performing your surgery. Hope this was helpful.

Q: Is it safe to drink the Emergen-C vitamin packet mixes before surgery?
Answered by Dr. DeJosephDecember 4, 2013

A: Vitamin C supplementation prior to surgery is not a bad thing as it is essential to collagen formation and wound healing. On the other hand supplements such as Vitamin E, fish oil, and flax seed oil should be avoided for 10-14 days prior to surgery as it will cause excess bruising. Also avoid aspirin and anything else like it such as aleve, advil, ibuprofen, etc.

Q: I have recently had Botox (3weeks ago) and have today been snorkeling and now have a mask imprint along my Forehead?
Answered by Dr. DeJosephDecember 4, 2013

A: No worries as this is not a result of your Botox treatment. It will resolve. I too love to snorkel on vacation and have seen this on my own forehead for several hours. :)
