Gil A. Epstein, MD

I had an eyelid surgery performed by Dr. Gil Epstein, and I’m extremely disappointed with the results. It was supposed to be a skin pinch, however, he removed excessive skin and fat, leaving me with hollow/sunken eyelids and looking much older. On top of that, the shape of my eyes changed drastically, going from almond-shaped to rounded, which I never wanted. My eyebrows were also lowered during the procedure as a result of the excessive skin removed, making me look sad or even masculine—completely opposite of the result I was hoping for. When I addressed these issues with him, his attitude was dismissive and disrespectful. He essentially told me that it was impossible to fix anything and offered no solutions or accountability for the poor outcome. I would not recommend Dr. Gil Epstein to anyone. His lack of care and responsibility has caused me long-lasting cosmetic damage that I now have to deal with. Stay away!

A 15 minute procedure for a droopy eyelid turned into a major catastrophe. I still can't open my eye ( 1 month later) and his attitude was even more offensive than the results. I now have to see another eye surgeon and repair the damage he caused.

After a charge of $180 I was informed that the Dr. would see me immediately. One hour passed. When I asked when would I be seen the response was another 90 minutes. This reveals a professional that values his time in detriment of the patient's time. This is not fair. Botton line: I drove 36 miles, spent 3.5 hours just for the carelessness of Dr. Epstein. If you have time to spent this is the Dr. to go. Bring a brown bag!

I recently met with Dr. Epstein for a consultation regarding possible upper eyelid surgery and possible lower eyelid surgery. I have to say I was extremely impressed. Before we even discussed what was concerning me, I was given a very thorough eye exam to make sure my eyes were in good health. This made me feel extremely comfortable, knowing that this office was not just a money machine and that they really cared. When we did discuss my upper eyelids, which are droopy and my lower eye area- Dr. Epstein was refreshingly honest about what I needed and what would be unnecessary. He then explained in great detail how the procedure would go, downtime etc.... I liked Dr. Epstein very much and feel he is a caring and highly knowledgeable surgeon. I know I would be in good hands!
