Dr. Mendoza obtained his medical degree from Philadelphia’s Hahnemann University, and went on to complete a residency in General Surgery at the State University of New York at Stony Brook. He was then selected for two fellowships: one in Plastic Surgery at Wayne State University in Detroit, Michigan, and a second in Plastic Surgery at the prestigious Manhattan Eye, Ear, and Throat Hospital in New York City.

Board certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery, Dr. Mendoza is a member of the American Society of Plastic Surgeons (ASPS). He has contributed to numerous research studies and publications on the topics of surgery and burn wound care.
