Post-Pregnancy Procedures
A mommy makeover is a customized combination of surgical procedures that helps restore your pre-baby body. In my Boca Raton, Florida practice, it usually includes a tummy tuck to repair separated muscles and remove loose skin; breast enhancement to restore volume and perhaps lift the breast back to where it was; and liposuction to address unwanted fat pockets. A mommy makeover is completely customized to address a woman’s individual goals. For instance, sometimes a labiaplasty is also performed to remove excess skin, if the labia stretched substantially during childbirth. In my experience, patients are ecstatic about the changes achieved with a mommy makeover. In addition to restoring comfort and function, the procedures enhance their self-esteem. That said, I strongly recommend that you wait to have a mommy makeover until you’ve completed your family, since the benefits can be undone by a subsequent pregnancy.
Body Contouring
From arm lifts to tummy tucks, I offer a range of both nonsurgical and surgical procedures to improve the contours of the body. One of the most popular procedures, liposuction, is performed to remove stubborn pockets of excess fat that haven’t responded to exercise and weight loss. Liposuction can be used to sculpt areas like the upper arms, calves, knees, back, thighs, flanks, as well as underneath the chin and in the neck and cheeks. Liposuction continues to become more refined, resulting in more precise results and a quicker recovery. At Sanctuary Plastic Surgery, I offer multiple types of liposuction technology, including laser-assisted lipoplasty, which is often used on smaller areas of the body that benefit from the precision it offers, and VASER liposuction. This type of fat-reduction surgery uses gentle ultrasound energy to liquify the fatty deposits, making the extraction easier and more uniform, resulting in smoother skin.
Face and Neck Lifts
Face and neck lifts offer patients a solution to the effects of heredity, sun exposure, environmental issues, and a history of smoking. These procedures won’t stop the aging process, but they will offset some of its effects. A facelift is done to return the skin, muscles, and underlying tissues of the mid- and lower face to a more youthful position. It can take a decade off your face, and the results usually last at least 7–10 years. A facelift is often combined with a neck lift to address platysmal laxity and banding. This procedure tightens muscles of the neck and removes loose skin, to correct bands and folds. Adjunctive procedures, such as laser resurfacing, fat grafting, or blepharoplasty may be needed to treat issues not addressed by a facelift. I’ve performed thousands of facelifts, and know how to create the most attractive result for your individual needs.
