Matthew D. Freeman, MD
Board Eligible Plastic Surgeon

I am a fellowship trained surgeon who strives to provide patients with the latest cutting-edge techniques and results that reflect my extensive training. I know that today’s patients do their homework: they have seen videos, listened to podcasts, and are active on social media. I also know that paternalistic medicine is antiquated. Instead, I think of my patients as partners on a journey to provide individualized, long-lasting, natural, and consistent results. I attended Tulane University School of Medicine in New Orleans, Louisiana, where I graduated in the top 5 of my class. Following graduation, I matched into the extremely competitive New York City Mount Sinai six year integrated plastic surgery residency position. I completed rotations at five different Mount Sinai locations, Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, the Bronx Veterans’ Affairs, and Elmhurst Hospital. I gained experience in cosmetic surgery working along many of the world’s top plastic surgeons on Park Avenue. I served as chief resident from 2021 to 2022. While a resident, I spearheaded numerous educational efforts for junior residents and medical students alike. During the COVID pandemic, I was the director of a virtual training program to help medical students interested in plastic surgery learn the fundamentals while being unable to be present in-person. In order to provide the highest quality of care, I completed a cosmetic surgery fellowship with the then-president of the American Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgeons (ASAPS), Dr. Jennifer Walden in Austin, Texas. There, I learned the importance of the patient experience and a holistic approach to aesthetic medicine.

Teresa C. Cunningham, MD
Board Certified Plastic Surgeon

Dr. Teresa Cunningham is a board-certified plastic surgeon who has been practicing in the Denver area since 2018. She has enjoyed treating patients from all over the state of Colorado and beyond and is consistently humbled to be chosen by patients from all over the country. Dr. Cunningham feels that the most important thing to do as a surgeon is to listen. Each patient has unique goals and needs, and from the time of the initial consultation she works together with her patients to create a personalized surgical plan to best achieve those goals. With a large percentage of plastic surgery patients being female, she feels her own female perspective offers a unique advantage in helping women achieve beautiful, natural-looking results. Dr. Cunningham earned her M.D. from Ohio State University College of Medicine, where she graduated Magna Cum Laude. She completed a residency in Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery at Wake Forest Baptist Health in Winston-Salem, NC, and is personally committed to helping her patients achieve their goals for renewing, enhancing, and beautifying their bodies.

Competent Plastic Surgeon!

Excellent! Dr. C is very personable and she listened to me. She made me feel very comfortable and answered my long list of questions! She’s fairly new to the practice and I could tell the staff all really liked her. I’m about 5 weeks post-op and am very happy with my results!

My breast are the perfect size now and look very natural

I love the results after my surgery with Dr. Wolfe. He was very professional but personable so I felt comfortable asking questions. I had my breast implants removed, breast lift, liposuction to my love handles and tummy that was transferred into my breasts, and a tummy tuck. I was fluffy with an extra 10-15 lbs in my back and tummy before surgery. The surgery went great. I was excited to get...

More than pleased with the outcome of the surgery so far

I was more than Happy with Dr Freeman and the work he had done. I had been looking at having plastic surgery for over a year and kept getting ridiculous quotes to have the surgery done anywhere in America. I had settled for the fact that I was going to have to travel to Mexico to have my plastic surgery at a price I could afford. After I had made my plans to go to Mexico, I met someone that...

Wonderful Skilled Dr

Dr Wolfe is amazing. He fixed a completely botched tummy tuck by another doctor. I didn't know I could be totally fixed, or even that I could even have great results. I am beyond thrilled to have found him. I would recommend him to anyone.

Highly-Skilled and Artful-Master of Plastic Surgery

With 21 years of experience, Dr. Vath's mastery of plastic surgery is apparent in his technique and setting realistic expectations. During our consult, he outlined a surgical plan for my "mommy makeover" that matched my desired outcome with his vast experience. I trusted him implicitly, granting him creative license to chart the path to my best self. Pre-surgery, I was most excited about the...

Q: How long until I can exercise after a breast lift with no implants?
Answered by Dr. FreemanMay 31, 2023

A: Please follow the post-op instructions of your plastic surgeon as it pertains to exercising. In my practice, however, I am comfortable with my patients easing back into exercise at 4 weeks post-op. Start back any exercises as if you have never done them before and let your body be your guide - if it hurts/pulls/burns, stop.

Q: Is a SMAS facelift at 42 too young? (Photos)
Answered by Dr. SteinwaldSeptember 9, 2019

A: . . . and you should have nice improvements of your developing jowl areas and/or early neck laxity with a "mini-facelift", which I have performed on patients as young as you. This is thought to achieve an average of a "7-10 year improvement" in most patients (perhaps less so in younger, more subtle cases), but should also "slow down" future aging to a degree. Best regards!

Q: Post surgery nerve endings healing: have you ever had any patients experience numbness, burning, and tingling 1 year post-op?
Answered by Dr. WolfeAugust 2, 2019

A: It’s unfortunate that you are still experiencing discomfort this far out from your surgery.  I have seen improvement in sensation and nerve issues as far as 18 months out, so you will hopefully continue to improve in the future.

Q: 3.5 months post-op. How would one know if their greater auricular nerve was cut/damaged during a facelift?
Answered by Dr. WolfeJuly 17, 2019

A: The greater auricular nerve is vulnerable to injury during facelifts, and can be injured by being cut, cauterized, caught in a suture, or just beat up.  The various types of injury do tend to heal, with the exception of a nerve that has been completely interrupted and not repaired.  Assuming this is not the case (most of us would repair the nerve ends if they were seen to be cut during surgery) then you should see continued recovery of sensation.  The rule of thumb is that nerves regenerate at 1 mm per day, though you might see continued improvement for 12-18 months post-procedure.  Discuss any residual questions you may have with your surgeon.

Q: Can paralysis of lower lip resolve?
Answered by Dr. SteinwaldApril 25, 2019

A: I would estimate this could take at least 3-6 months (possibly longer) to resolve, and certainly no potential interventions should be planned before this time (but of course stay in touch with your surgeon for reassessments as she sees fit . . . )
