I had been considering having a breast augmentation for 10 years. I’m so happy that I finally did it-and more importantly that Dr. Maxhimer was my surgeon. He’s a true artist! His background is in reconstructive surgery and I think he’s done like over 5,000 breast augmentations. So knew I was in good, experienced hands. The staff at Boulder Plastic Surgery were kind and accommodating. I (like most women) was uncertain about what size I wanted until literally the last minute and they were very understanding and patient! Thanks Dr. Maxhimer and team. Updated on 29 Aug 2021: My post op photos were taken at 6 weeks. I I could not be happier with results. My implants are Sientra, 325cc. I was a 32A prior to surgery and am now wearing a 32D. I am 5’2”, 120lbs, 39 year old with three children. I breastfed.

Dr Justin Maxhimer is amazing! Not only extremely talented and knowledgeable in his field- his compassion and empathy towards his patients is hard to come by. I've had a few phenomenal surgery's with Dr Mazhimer and he has exceeded my expectations every single time. This man is a genius. I'm 2 weeks post op from a breast implant removal, and under eyelid surgery. I had breast implants for 23 years and due to extreme chronic back pain decided with his consultation to remove them and have a lift. It is the best decision I have ever made. I assumed I would be pretty flat chested after and was ok with that- but I still have very nice size breasts and I'm over the moon with my results. I don't know how he did it but they look better then they did when I was 26 before my implant procedure. They are full and subtle and I still have feeling in them. Him and his previous nurse Maryann whom I've worked with through most of my procedures are just pure angels! I can't say enough about both of them. Anyone looking for any kind of procedure should definitely see Dr Maxhimer. He just makes you feel like family from beginning to end. Thank you Dr Maxhimer and Maryann for being so kind and gracious to me. Oh and my eyes look amazing! He removed the bags that were drawing my face down and made me feel so old and I feel like I lost 10 years off my face alone. I'm so very grateful to have found him. He has literally changed my life

I have been contemplating a breast lift/reduction and abdominoplasty for the past three years hesitantly. After a few consultations with recommended plastic surgeons, I ultimately decided on Dr. Maxhimer as he was incredibly easy to talk with as well as specific about the my concerns, the procedures and expected outcomes. I was just looking through some pictures of myself that were clearly before I went to Dr. Maxhimer for a cosmetic consultation six years ago. I was 45 years old then and have been aging gracefully with him ever since! How do you know you’ve chosen an honest and ethical plastic surgeon? When he tells you “no” if you ask for more fillers that you don’t need or “we’re not there yet” when you talk to him about a face lift. I tell everyone that I talk to about cosmetic enhancements to never waste money going to a nurse who took a weekend course on how to do cosmetic injections. It’s your face and you should work with a plastic surgeon who knows every nerve and muscle involved! Because Dr. Maxhimer has had years of extraordinary training he is a master at making his patients look natural. When I leave his office, I don’t look like I’ve gotten botox and fillers – I look youthful and vibrant. I must also mention that I am an oncology nurse at Rocky Mountain Cancer Center in Boulder and Dr. Maxhimer is well known in our circle. I have heard from our patients that go see him for breast reconstruction after a mastectomy that he provides great comfort during their entire process. When we refer a patient to Dr. Maxhimer that is scared and vulnerable we know that his bedside manner will put them at ease immediately and that his incredible skill as a surgeon will grant them confidence for a lifetime. Dr. Maxhimer performed my breast reconstruction after bilateral mastectomy for breast cancer. He's experienced, competent, thorough, knowledgeable, approachable ... he was there for me every step of the way, and I trusted him to put me back together. His office staff is friendly, and everything runs on time. I was, and I continue to be, grateful that this practice was recommended to me by my breast surgeon.

Dr. Maxhimer is not only a great doctor, he is also down to earth and very approachable. His bedside manner humanizes the whole experience which made me feel like I was talking to a friend. He took the time to listen and answer my questions and made me feel more comfortable with the process by starting with a relationship of trust. His office staff was extremely friendly and helpful. I can't say enough good things about Boulder Plastic Surgery & Dr. Maxhimer. When you see him, you're greeted with a big smile and his genuine, kind bedside manner. He's always on time, he is super approachable and easy to talk to. He really listens to my areas of concern, explains everything in detail to me and never makes me feel rushed! He is an absolute perfectionist in his work too. I'm always pleased with my results. You can see he treats his staff well too as they are always happy and a joy to interact with. In 2016, I was diagnosed with breast cancer. I had a TRAM flap on the right side. The tumor was quite large and mostly located on the right side of the breast and extending under the arm. The surgery left me with hard lumps, necrotic tissue and abscesses that never resolved. The skin on the "breast" was scaley and would break open and bleed. I spent, nearly, 4 years in pain. I couldn't find a bra that didn't hurt and I couldn't sleep comfortably. Dr. Maxhimer changed my life. He revised the breast, removed dead tissue and a short 6 weeks later....I am pain free. The scar is gone! I'm able to sleep comfortably and I feel more confident. I'm so thankful I found a physician who listened to my needs and made them a reality. I highly recommend Boulder Plastic Surgery. Updated on 14 Aug 2020: After Dr. Maxhimer fixed my TRAM flap mastectomy...he fixed my other breast. He made them even! I was diagnosed with breast cancer 4 years ago...and for four years, I've cried from pain and from my reflection in the mirror. Because of Dr. Maxhimer, I'm wearing tee shirts. I'm not afraid to wear something that shows the outline of my breasts. I can wear a bra that fits both sides! I will forever be grateful to him for his precise surgical sculpting.

Hello, The staff is professional, pleasant, and always welcoming; they helped me feel at ease prior to meeting the doctor. And I immediately felt comfortable and relaxed during my first appt. with Dr. Maxhimer. He has a calm but enthusiastic demeanour that encourages you to speak the truth - say what it is you are looking for... and then proceeds to show and tell you how those goals can be met. He is real, honest, and a darn great surgeon - I am THRILLED with the results and the post-surgery care I have received from Maxhimer and staff! I would do it again, immediately.
