I highly recommend Dr. Bovill & her team if you are looking for someone who does exceptional work, is caring and takes a genuine interest in you and your wellbeing. I saw Dr. Bovill for a breast lift and possible implant because I thought I would need them to achieve any sort of breast. I expressed to her that I didn’t really want to have to deal with an implant and she told me not to do it then. She then explained what I could expect with a lift and why a lift without implants would be a better option for what i expressed I wanted in look and function. I also asked her about a tummy tuck and muscle repair in our consult. I initially wasn’t interested in doing that (although much needed) because I had been through two c-sections and did not want to deal with that trauma again. She put me at such ease in the consult and gave me so much confidence in her abilities and the reality of what to expect to achieve in these procedures that I did not feel the need to meet with any other surgeon. In the end I decided to go with the breast lift and tummy tuck/repair all in one go. On surgery day Dr. Bovill and all the staff at Cambie Surgery Centre were fantastic. They truly cared for my physical and emotional wellbeing. In the weeks/months after they continue to care and check in. I am nearly 5 months post op and so pleased with my results. They have exceeded my expectations.

I am 59 year old fit thin female and did not like how loose skin looked on my butt and calves. Dr Bovill was understanding and willing to explore options for me that were not considered a regular surgery. She was honest and practical about the results I could expect. The whole experience from consultation to follow up was easy and well organised . I am happy with the results and grateful that she understood my issue and did not just expect me to accept my loose skin because of my age .

I’m currently 5 weeks post-op from a breast lift with Dr. Bovill, and I couldn’t be happier. She is the absolute best. I originally planned a few consults, but within a minute of meeting with her I knew she was the right surgeon for me. I did lots of research and it seems quite common to push implants with the lift to get the most ‘ideal’ outcome. I was on the fence about implants - I really didn’t want to deal with future surgeries but also wanted a great outcome. Right away Dr. Bovill said - if you don’t want implants, don’t get them, you can still have a great result. Sounds simple, but that’s what I needed to hear! I’m so happy with the results and so relieved I didn’t get implants. I have a tendency to scar quite badly and this was a big worry for me, and something Dr. Bovill took really seriously. Again, I was so relieved that she addressed this and didn’t just dismiss it as a typical concern. I did some research on scar treatments and found a system I was interested in trying. I was worried she might be insulted that I wanted to try something different, but she was so open-minded about it and respected my thoughts. I had quite a bit of bruising after (natural tendency of my skin - nothing to do with her!) and Dr. Bovill had me come in for more check-ups than would be typical to make sure everything was healing well. Again, it was extremely comforting to know she’s paying attention to my individual needs. Overall, the care I’ve received has been phenomenal. Dr. Bovill takes her work seriously, but is also lighthearted and a joy to be around. We’re always laughing and joking in our check-ups which is exactly what I need. Dr. Bovill doesn’t have a ton of reviews online - probably because she focuses on her work, not marketing. She has none of the ego that comes through from many of the surgeons with a super polished online presence. She cares about the individual and what they want - not making more money, stroking her ego, or what looks best on instagram. Again I could not be happier with my results. From the moment I met Dr. Bovill to now I haven't had a second of doubt that this was the right choice. She’s a true gem!

Dr. Bovill is an amazing doctor. She is extremely knowledgable. Dr. Bovill and her team are very kind, welcoming, and trusting. Dr. Bovill honest, she will do procedures that are best for the patient. Every appointment, pre and post op, Dr. Bovill spent time answering any questions that I had, making me feel very comfortable, safe, and well cared for. The day of surgery, Dr. Bovill made me feel extremely calm with her kind words and words of encouragement. There aren't enough words to explain how extremely satisfied I am with the multiple surgeries that I got from Dr. Bovill. I highly recommend Dr. Bovill and her team. Excellent surgeon, my scars are in places that when I wear a bathing suit, they're covered up, and they have healed so well. Thank you Dr. Bovill!

Dr. Bovill is kind and considerate. From our first consult to the procedure and follow ups, she made me feel good about my choices and supported me in my journey. And, I am so very pleased with the results!

Despite being lean and active with no kids, I had grade 3 ptosis with large areolas and very loose skin, with breasts that hung floppily, and sat on my ribs. (They developed this way). I sought a natural looking lift with no implants, and rounder and perkier breasts. I had a lot of aesthetic concerns and worries about the results, e.g., scarring, areolas too big or small, and nipple placement. Dr. Bovill addressed my concerns and I felt confident that she has a keen eye and appreciation for what a beautiful, youthful, and natural looking (if that’s what you want) breast should look like. I am so glad I found Dr. Bovill and am frankly shocked that other surgeons in Vancouver have longer surgical wait times than her - looking at more ‘popular’ surgeons in the area (I.e., those with more reviews and longer wait times), Dr. Bovill’s work is leaps and bounds ahead. She did not just use the outside skin for my lift as many surgeons seem to do - she moved the underlying breast tissue higher up on my chest, creating cleavage and internal support and shape with my own tissue. Truly incredible work. I will add that Dr. Bovill is a perfectionist and has an artist’s eye - my surgery was a little more challenging due to my natural tissue/structure, and Dr. Bovill mentioned that she took extra time and care until she was happy with my results when she sat me up on the operating table. I cannot overstate how grateful I am for her amazing work and effort, and I knew right away upon meeting her that I did not need to look any further. She has a kind, confident, and respectful bedside manner that instantly put me at ease. Seriously - Dr. Bovill is a hidden gem, and I will/have recommended her to anyone I know who wants a breast procedure done. In my humble opinion, look no further!

Her skills are magic. She is kind compassionate and unjudgemental. My case was extremely complicated due to implant surgery, revision implants, another revision with full lift, and finally explant. All by other surgeons. She was extremely cautious about managing my expectations. I had extreme scar tethering, dog ear in cleavage, along with other issues. My breasts actually look similar again and scar tethering is so much better. I am pain free and have full shoulder mobility for the first time in years. And the sutures where amazing. My scars will be so faint when redness goes away. Dog ear is gone and although she was concerned about the scar I would end up with it’s right in the fold and so fine I can hardly see it already. I will never be able to thank her enough as she has truly changed my life. I can exercise and participate in activities again and am pain free

I am 56 years old and had an Abdominoplasty and bilateral Brachioplasty with liposuction (tummy tuck & arm lift) after an 85lb weight loss. I interviewed and vetted 12 top surgeons in three cities and I’m so glad I chose Dr. Bovill. Skilled, detail oriented and compassionate doesn’t begin to describe this amazing woman. I have the stomach of a 25 year old, wear a size 4/6, and a belly button that looks better than my original. The incisions look amazing after only 7 weeks. She goes above and beyond for her patients. I’ve had 10 major surgeries (no other plastics) and this was by far my best experience with a surgeon and subsequent follow up visits. Dr. Bovill’s office staff (Jessie) is amazing too. I don’t give 5 stars easily. Look no further for a superb surgeon and human being. My surgery took place at the Cambie Centre and I stayed overnight in a private room.

Dr Bovill performed a breast reconstruction with lift and implants for me in October. I had scars and trauma from past surgeries, so my expectations for a good outcome were realistic. Dr Bovill's surgical skills are unbelievable and the final result was nothing short of excellent. The outcome far exceeded my expectations of what I thought was possible, given what she had to work with. She reconstructed beautiful breasts for me (and saw me three times to discuss implant size as I just couldn't make up my mind, so I let her decide in the end), but it was her suture work to improve and repair past scarring that really amazed me. She is brilliant at what she does. I can't fault any part of the entire process, including my interactions with Jesse her Assistant, and I am beyond pleased with the final outcome. I would recommend Dr Bovill to anyone considering any minor or major breast surgery. My operation was very technical and the results are outstanding. My breasts are a suitable size for my body and at 43 years of age, this is the first time in my adult life that I am truly happy with how my breasts look. Thank you.

After my two kids, I was left with very droopy, empty boobs. As a very small woman, I feel they really make my body shape look awful. I went to Dr Bovill because my friend had her implants done with her and couldn't say enough about her. She is very focused on detail and perfection and also does reconstruction so it felt like a great fit for my lift. I was adamant I did not want implants and she didn't remotely suggest them which I appreciated as the other doctors I spoke to all seemed to push implants. The staff at Cambie Surgery Centre were amazing. They were welcoming, informative and very likeable. I can't say enough about the nurses or the anaesthetist. Updated on 29 Nov 2019: The pain was absolutely minimal. The side effects of the pan meds were the worst part so I stopped them in day 2. Also the itchiness was annoying! There was tons of swelling but it seems to have gone down. Get bandages off today! Updated on 29 Nov 2019: Was so pleased when Dr Bovill removes my bandages today! She was happy with the healing so far and has told me to use the tape for 6-8 weeks. I will post without the tape next week when I change them. I can’t believe how much the incisions have already healed. I do think it is testament to how incredible a surgeon she is. Updated on 5 Dec 2019: Finally saw them today with no tape and was relieved to not see too much gore! The anchor underneath isn’t very noticeable at all. Everything seems quite healed up with the exception of a few very small red spots. I am excited to change the tape in another week and see what progress has been made. Updated on 17 Dec 2019: They seem to have settled into place now. The incisions seem to be healing well. Honestly the anchor underneath is barely visible. The right lollipop is less noticeable than the right. My doctor wants me to wear the tape night 3-5 weeks. I’m just going to keep it up and see how much the scars will fade. I have gotten used to wearing a bra all the time as long as I switch bras a few times a day. Still sleeping propped up on my back. Hoping at my appointment in a few days I will get the clear to do some exercise as I feel like mush! Updated on 26 Dec 2019: Everything is continuing to improve. I am going to keep using the tape as long as I can stand it as the doctor says it helps decrease the scars. I got the okay to do light exercise and can sleep on my side! The doc said she would continue wearing a bra to bed. I’m used to it now so I’m just going to keep it up. Will post another update in a week! Updated on 3 Jan 2020: I change my tape once a week and each time I remove it there is a bit more improvement. I’m hoping the vertical line starts I fade in time but I figure for 6 weeks post things are healing pretty good! I have had some shooting pains here and there but otherwise I am all good. I got the go ahead to return to normal workouts high feels awesome. I wear two sports bra when I work out. I still find heavy weights feel weird on my boobs so I am keeping it light and doing cardio. Updated on 19 Feb 2020: I’m very happy with my results! The focus now is just the scars which really aren’t that bad and I would tolerate for this shape any day! I wore the paper tape for out 9 weeks. I tried silicone tape and while it did seem to work, it made me so itchy! I took a few weeks off and am now using Bio Oil 2-3 times a day. Will post another update on the scars in a month or so.
