20 Years Old, Suffering from Inflamed Glands and Acne Since 15 - Canmore, AB

Hello everyone, I'm going to share my thoughts and experience with Accutane, also for a personal log for myself to see how things go with it. I'm well aware of the side effects and am prepared to battle them. I'm taking 40MG a day. I have been suffering from a reoccuring inflaming gland on the right side of my nose ever since 16 years old. People usually ask whats going on with my face (which is extremely embarrassing) or look at it funny. It gets very red and very big. Surgeons didn't want to remove it because they said it'd come back plus them leaving a scar. I've been on many different types of antibiotics spending countless hours in hospital waiting rooms and more. I've had to carry around IV bags in a backpack and a pump at school and work. It is EXTREMELY infuriating and such an inconvenience in my life. I've also had acne that forms on my chest, face, and neck quite often. It isn't that bad and I would have dealt with it on its own if it weren't for the reoccuring gland. As I write this, I am currently on day 7 with accutane. So far, I've experienced dry skin and lips. Every morning, I wake up with serious dry skin which I immediately moisturize after my shower. I always carry lip balm around with me, everywhere I go. I've noticed my acne hasn't cleared up much, maybe a bit on my chest, but nothing more. I've been getting lots of poppable white heads, which I'm thinking may be due to pushing out the bad stuff? Anyway, I will update more as time goes on. Best of luck to all accutane users.
