I didn’t actually see this doctor but was treated by his laser specialist Brittani and manager Lori. Both were absolutely amazing and very professional. The clinic was very professional and extremely clean. All the staff were very helpful.

Hey there! Sorry I am new at this Realself review! I am a tall curvy girl (5'11 and 220lbs) and don't really have a problem with my hour glass shape. However, my arms have always drove me nuts! I have a smaller upper body but my arms have always just been so big. It is often difficult to find shirts and blazers that will fit around them. About a year ago, I began researching Coolsculpting. I went and got a consultation at Serene Radiance in Edmonton (which was fantastic) but opted not to get the procedure because my arm was too long to fit into the normal applicator. I would have needed two applicators which would have dramatically increased the cost.
So, after a tonne of research, I decided to do a consultation with Lucere Dermatology clinic in Edmonton for Sculpsure. At my consultation, the technician Brittani told me I was a perfect candidate because I have a pocket of visible fat that wasn't too large. Also, Sculpsure's applicators can be placed anywhere so my long arms didn't pose a problem. We decided on two treatments of two applicators per arm (four applicators constitutes one treatment). So for me to get both my arms done (two applicators per arm) is actually only one treatment. I will get the second treatment in 6-8 weeks. For two treatments, the clinic charged $2300.
The clinic was also having a special where they are giving Kybella injections (an injection which kills fat cells...also known as lipo-injections) along with the Sculpsure. This treatment usually costs about $600 but they were giving it for free when you purchase a Sculpsure treatment.
The techinician gave me about 5 injections per arm. They didn't really hurt but definitely stung little bee stings right after for about 20 hours. Right after the injections, my Sculpsure treatment began. It was not fun but definitely wasn't scream-worthy. Apparently the legs hurt the most, then the arms and then the abdomen. The more nerves an area has the more painful it is. It felt like a hot frying pan on my sensitive arm skin. It went in waves which was great because I always knew I only had to last about 20 seconds before a bit of a break. The technician Brittani had a little hose that blew cool air and she blew it around the applicators which helped a lot. I think it just added a distraction from the pain. She also chatted with me the whole treatment which helped me keep my mind off of what was happening. I also think the Kybella injections made my arms more sensitive so I may have felt more pain then some other people.
Immediately after the treatments, my arms were sore and felt like they had been stung by little bees. They also swelled up and bruised (see photos on last post). This apparently has to do with the Kybella and not the Sculpsure. The stinging went away by the next day but I am still a bit swollen three days out. Hoping it will go away soon. Apparently with the two treatments (Kybella and Sculpsure) together, I will see a decrease of about 30% fat instead of just the 24% Sculpsure promises. I'll be posting updates soon! Drinking lots and lots of water to flush out the dead fat cells!

Swelling has gone down but still swollen. Bruises are gone and arms slightly tender. I can also feel a couple little hard nodules but I’ve heard that’s completely normal. Can not wait to begin seeing results!

Swelling is gone as are the bruises. It still feels like I have bruises where the Kybella was injected. It’s very sore. I don’t have any pain on the side of my arms where the Sculpsure applicators were. Hopefully the soreness goes away soon. I don’t see any difference but hopefully it happens soon!

I don’t see any difference. My clothes also fit the same. I often had a lot of trouble fitting shirts and jackets because of my large arms. Can’t wait to have things fit better! I’ll keep you guys updated but hoping to go back for my second treatment in 5 weeks.

Here is the photo comparison. The swelling has gone down but I feel like I am back to where I started. Can’t wait to begin to see results. 10 days post procedure photos are on top. You can tell they’re less swollen but still sore from Kybella!

Just went for my second treatment! It’s been 8 weeks since my first and I don’t really see much of a difference. They sent me a before and after and I see a bit of a difference.....not a $2k difference but we’ll have to wait and see until after the second treatment. They also gave me a second treatment of Lipodissolve. I’ll keep you posted!
