5 out of 5 stars Breast Reduction

Successful Breast Reduction - San Francisco, CA

The first thing I noticed immediately following my surgery was that, in spite of the post operative discomfort I was experiencing, my back felt better than it had in years. The next thing I noticed was that the stitches were very small and even, and there was less scarring than I had seen on people who had surgery years before. My breasts are perfectly symmetrical and shaped to look natural and appealing. It's clear that Dr. Kind is not only extremely skilled technically, he also has an artist's eye. Unlike other surgeons I had met, Dr. Kind didn't rush me or talk at me. We had a productive and informative pre-operative dialogue. I wasn't sure what size I wanted, so he suggested I send him pictures of breasts that reflected what I was hoping for. He listened to what I wanted, and made his suggestions based on that. Also, he had a light touch while examining me or removing stitches, which made a big difference when I was experiencing tenderness. The same is true of his Physician's Assistant, Candice. She also made an effort to get to know me, find out what I was experiencing, and put me at ease. Dr. Kind was always straightforward, respectful and honest with me, and gave me whatever time and attention I needed. I felt confident and calm with him. My sense is that he's not only committed to the surgical outcome of his work, but while you're his patient, he's committed to doing whatever it takes to provide the very best support and care possible. During my recovery, a problem developed over the week-end, and, at his suggestion, he saw me in his office on a Sunday, even though he wasn't on call that week-end. I've never had anything like that happen before! The office staff were always friendly, helpful and efficient. During the entire process I felt safe, heard and cared for. Dr. Kind has earned my respect as a surgeon, a person and a healer. Since the surgery I've been free of the back, neck and shoulder pain I've had for years, and which has been unsuccessfully treated with many forms of traditional and alternative therapies. I've practiced yoga for many years, and I finally have much greater freedom and range of motion. I also look better and can once again wear the clothes I like.

Mastectomy to Reconstruction. San Francisco, CA

Dr. Kind was so easy to talk to. He answered any questions I had. He was able to explain things clearly so I knew what to expect. He and his staff were friendly and helpful.

5 out of 5 stars Brow Lift

Lateral Brow Lift - San Francisco, CA

As I've mentioned in my other procedure reviews, Dr. Gabriel Kind is experienced, patient, professional, and respectful, and I have found the same to be true of everyone in his office. He is particularly generous with his breast cancer patients and he truly seems to enjoy his work. I highly recommend him!

Exactly What I Wanted, Subtle Changes but a Lot of Positive Feedback from People Afterward - San Francisco

Very professional, and won't try to 'upsell' you to have more work done than you need.

24 Yrs Old, 36H, Constant Back Pain, Going to D or C. San Francisco, CA

Ever since I can remember, I have had very large breasts and knew that I would, someday, end up getting a BR. About four years ago, I went to a very good PS in SF for a consultation. They, unfortunately, were not willing to work with me on having my insurance cover the cost. At that time, there was no way I could afford to pay out of pocket. Flash forward to August 2015 when I decided to...

5 out of 5 stars Ear Surgery

Unilateral Otoplasty - San Francisco, CA

I am well-acquainted with Dr. Kind due to my breast cancer and reconstruction history so I already felt very comfortable with him as a surgeon and with asking lots of questions. On the flip side, he is also well-acquainted with me so he is always prepared for my long list of questions and answers them patiently. He and Dr. Chang have a great PA (Candice), but Dr. Kind deals very directly with his patients himself. As I wrote in my previous review, Dr. Kind's main goal for any surgery is the happiness of his patient.

5 out of 5 stars Breast Reconstruction

Bilateral Implant Breast Reconstruction - San Francisco, CA

Dr. Kind and his team deserve major credit for how well I have done since my breast cancer diagnosis. His surgical expertise, empathy, and willingness to tirelessly address my concerns gave me confidence that I was making the right treatment choices. I never felt less than “whole” throughout the process, which is an amazing gift after undergoing a bilateral mastectomy. I was so pleased with the results of my breast reconstruction that I opted for some cosmetic surgery as well (separate reviews posted). Dr. Kind uses a light touch to achieve a natural appearance, and his ultimate goal for every surgery, whether breast reconstruction or a cosmetic procedure, is the happiness of his patient. He and Dr. Chang have a great PA (Candice), but Dr. Kind deals very directly with his patients himself. I will always be grateful to Dr. Kind, Candice, Marie, Dr. Chang, and the entire staff for their professional and respectful care and for making a difficult time in my life so much easier.

5 out of 5 stars Breast Reconstruction

Fatgrafting to the Breast - San Francisco, CA

This is my second surgery second round of fat grafting. I had a removal of implants, breast reduction, mini tummy tuck ( my stomach is where he did the the fat grafting ) I have a lot of confidence in my doctor, there was a deformity in my right breast going in for a second surgery to repair and remove some scar tissue. He will at that time will be doing another lift, as he thinks I need it, (no charge for this) doing a second round of fat grafting taken from my thighs, the first surgery was for me a 911 due to a ton of health issues, my next surgery is in one month, I'm really nervous! I'm looking for anyone out there that has experienced this, any suggestions on things to do before surgery to take great care of my body as well as post care what was your experience i'm looking for the best outcome I can get. I think I'm really nervous because I have a lot of time to think about this as opposed to my first surgery! Thank you ladies hopefully I can get some good information .

Great experience. Highly recommend!

After being diagnosed with a breast cancer recurrence, my breast surgeon recommended a mastectomy with DIEP flap reconstruction and referred me to Dr. Gabriel Kind. When I mentioned Dr. Kind’s name to my existing team of doctors, they all enthusiastically assured me that I was in the best possible hands. What truly impressed me about my first visit was how gracious and patient Dr. Kind w...
