Dr. Chang and his entire team were absolutely incredible!! My entire experience from the consultation, to the insurance application, pre-op and post-op appointments was so smooth. Dr. Chang is a really professional, extremely patient, and very caring doctor. He took his time during my initial consultation to learn about what I wanted and listen to what I was experiencing. He also walked me through the process and reviewed the procedure with me several times before the surgery. His PA Lindsey is absolutely incredible, going out of her way to answer all my questions and provide me with recommendations for post-op care even before I had finalized a surgery date! As for the results, I felt like Dr. Chang really listened to what I wanted and did a wonderful job. I am SO happy with my results - the difference is huge!! Dr. Chang is a straight-up artist and I owe him and his team so much! I am forever grateful to both Dr. Chang and Lindsey and without a doubt recommend Dr. Chang and his team. The only thing I'd change is finding and getting a breast reduction with Dr. Chang sooner!
Dr. Chang performed a DIEP flap reconstruction on the same day of my left breast mastectomy. Despite 6 hours on the table and 6 days in the hospital, my pain was surprisingly minimal as I recovered. My scars are quickly fading, in no small part due to his precision handiwork with sutures. Initially, my greatest concern at the time was loss of symmetry in my body. Waking up from a radical surgery with the feasibility of matching breasts was of great comfort after chasing clean margins with lumpectomy and re-excision procedures. My breast health surgeon addressed my fears, suggesting, “There is no reason in this day and age, not to have reconstructive surgery” Those words changed my thinking from indulgent vanity to essential need for my well-being, state of mind and body. After my harrowing diagnosis, Dr. Chang helped to guide me through the choice between an implant or transplant, answering all my questions with patience and understanding of the life-changing procedure I was about to take on. His calm and assuring manner instilled a much needed confidence in the process and my ultimate decision to choose a transplant. The resulting tummy tuck was a bonus, certainly. Dr. Chang and his staff were eager to address all my concerns, small and large, with a gracious understanding and empathy for the new-to-me process. The ‘miracle’ of matching my untouched breast with its in-progress mate still astounds me and is a testament to Dr. Chang’s attention to detail and inherent skills. I am forever grateful for his help with the normalcy and improved similarity to my pre-surgery body.
My surgery was done in Oct 2016. My friend got her breast augmentation with Dr.Chang first and she referred us to see him. During the consultation, I showed him images of girls that had a similar body type as me but with larger breast. I him asked what is the biggest implant he can use to give me the natural silhouette. So, he suggested with my body frame and aesthetic requests I would benefit from 415cc Smooth Round High Profile Implants. I was very happy the day I was allowed to unwrap my dressings because I came from a 34A to a 34D. Even going from A to D, Dr. Chang made sure to give his natural style for breast augmentation. I would definitely recommend Dr.Chang for Breast Augmentation.
Dr. Chang is a caring and compassionate physician. I decided to finally see a plastic surgeon for consultation regarding a breast reduction. He reviewed all my options and discussed the pros and cons of each. I love my results! I am the breast size that I wanted and they look marvelous. Dr. Chang has a great personality. He was considerate and and attentive through the entire post operative recovery. I am recommending all of my friends to him. He is the best!!
Dr. Chang and Candice were absolutely amazing from start to finish. They are both rock stars - and I'm not easy to please! Dr. Chang is knowledgeable and very straightforward. It was important to him that I understand the procedures he would be doing and that I be comfortable with the end results.
Dr. Chang, Candice (PA), Suzy, & office Staff: absolutely outstanding experience with my procedure. Dr. Chang is a true Artist! Couldn't be happier with my results (hardly any pain, barely noticeable scars, totally symmetrical, kind, compassionate & patient care) I may be a bit biased because I had the privilege of seeing his work post op from previous patients ( I'm an RN) . Highly recommend them to everyone I know!
After my mother, grandmother, two aunts, and a cousin had been diagnosed with breast cancer, I knew a future prophylactic mastectomy was a strong possibility. When my then 40 year old sister was diagnosed, the decision became clear. Fortunately, with chemo, radiation, and mastectomies, all of the women in my family survived the disease. Thankfully, they all supported my choice.
I had single mastectomy and breast reconstruction after. Dr Chang was professional and competent, he listened and addressed my concerns, was compassionate and caring. I would consider my recovery time being short as I was able to drive after a week. The result was impressive, I’m very pleased and the scar healed nicely. Dr Chang is remarkable in his commitment to provide the best outcome for his patient.
It's difficult to tell from the one photo what would be best. I would want to hear your goals for surgery, but I think an implant would probably be sufficient to improve the fullness and appearance of your breasts. I would probably agree with the other surgeons with whom you have consulted. A lift may or may not be necessary.
I am assuming you would rather avoid the scars, but I think that a circumvertical mastopey would be necessary to lift you nipples. I would need to see your preop photos to see what your breasts used to look like. It is possible that the additional weight of the implants has led to some of the sagging. If you want to reduce the fullness in the side of the breast, you would probably need a narrower / smaller implant
The left breast does look larger, and the nipple position is also slightly different. It is possible that this is due to your anatomy, but without seeing the before photos it is difficult to tell. I am assuming you have the same sized implants in both breasts. If your goals is to increase the volume on the right, fat grafting might be an option. I would recommend you discuss your concerns with your plastic surgeon.
With many operations, there may compromises based on what priorities. If you want to reduce the areolar diameter, you would need an incision around the areolae. This may limit the implant volume that could be placed. You may or may not benefit from the vertical incision, but if the benefit is small, you may prefer to avoid the scar and accept the results without the additional scarring.
Based on your photos, it looks like you could improve the appearance of your breasts with different procedures, depending on your goals. If your goal is to look like the women in the photos, you would need more volume. It looks like all of those women in your wish photos have implants. Performing a lift or reduction would require similar scars, and would improve your breasts. The best advice is to consult with a board certified plastic surgeon who can discuss all of the options and the pros and cons.
