Face and Neck Lifts
Facelifts and neck lifts are the commonly requested procedures from patients at my San Diego practice. Facelift surgery can rejuvenate the face by smoothing deep lines and creases; lifting the cheeks and lower face; contouring the jawline; and removing excess fat beneath the chin. A neck lift, often performed along with a facelift, tightens the muscles in the neck, treating what is known as a “turkey waddle.”
One facial rejuvenation procedure I’m known for is the QuickLift™. This less-invasive surgical procedure offers similar results to a regular facelift, but it’s a shorter procedure with less downtime.
A facelift is the most effective facial rejuvenation procedure, but some patients prefer nonsurgical treatments like chemical peels, Botox, or dermal fillers to postpone the need for a facelift.
I also perform brow lifts (also called a forehead lift) to reduce sagging brow lines and smooth creases on the forehead and/or bridge of the nose.

After obtaining his medical degree from the University of Maryland School of Medicine, Dr. Alexander II completed five years of general surgery training at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, where he also served as Chief Resident. This was followed by a plastic surgery residency at University of California San Francisco, where he also held the Chief Resident role.
Dr. Alexander II is board certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery, is a member of the American Society of Plastic Surgeons, and is a fellow of the American College of Surgeons.
