Invisalign - La Mesa, CA

I cannot wait to start Invisalign. I have been wanting to start treatment for awhile now and found the perfect place to do it at. I will update every time I begin a new tray. Updated on Feb 6, 2010: So I started my first tray on January 28 and at first, the pain was uncomfortable. By nighttime, I was so used to it, it didn't bug me at all. I have to go through 11 trays for my bottom teeth and 19 trays for my top teeth. In total, it will take me 9 1/2 months to get my "perfect teeth". So by mid-September, I will finish treatment. I don't talk with a lisp at all and I feel great. Because I have the Invisalign on, it also makes me not crave as much I am losing weight, which is great becaue I have a wedding to go to in November. I will start my next trays on Thursday, marking it 2 weeks after my first set of trays. Until then! Updated on 19 Sep 2011: so...its been quite awhile since i posted this. but its been over a year now since i finished treatment and my teeth are still perfectly straight, with help from my retainers. next step, whiten them

$801Dental Crown

The only Sacajawea

No refund even though they did not complete the work

I was really excited to see this dentist. They sold me pipe dreams that they could not fulfill. They are 100% out of network so, they told me my cost was $800 and that sedation would be at no charge due to me being out of network. I advised them that I am deathly afraid of the dentist however; I am really wanting to get my teeth healthy and on the right track. I needed 2 fillings and a deep cleaning which would take a total of 4 hours. They told me that their office could handle it and that they would be able to accomplish what I needed. I scheduled the appointment and paid $675 upfront. Was going to pay the remaining $125 after the work was done. They gave me a valium the night before, some powder under the tongue when I arrived the next day and some laced apple juice. They completed the 2 fillings (mind you they left one of my back teeth higher than the remainder of my teeth so, I cannot close my teeth) and I started to wake up (3 hours later mind you). They said that they were not able to clean my quads so, I would need to come back but, now they recommend me being put to sleep again. Not a problem! I am all for it. I get a call 3 days later telling me that I need to pay more money towards my patient portion. I am like yes, I need to pay $125 as my total was $800 out of pocket. The lady Rochelle said "ummm I will have to look into that but, I cannot schedule you until I find out". I am like OK well let me know what you find. She then proceeds to tell me that "since we are putting you to sleep it will be (wait for it) another $800 to the anesthesiologist and $150 per hour after that for a total of 4 hours". Why would it be another 4 hours when we already did 3 hours and they said that it is a total of 4 hours? She could not answer that. I informed her that I did not want to pay close to $2000 out of pocket for an anesthesiologist to put me to sleep but, that we can just do the standard valium way. She says she will need to look into this and get back to me. She calls me back and says that the dental hygienist and the dentist say no anesthesiologist then they can no longer complete my treatment. Wait what! How does that work! They billed my insurance for the full procedure, billed me $800 and she has the nerve to tell me well I will send you a breakdown of what is now owed.. Owed to whom! They billed my insurance and changed me patient cost and have the audacity to tell me that they did not want to give me a refund even though they did not complete the work! You cannot make this stuff up! This dental office is a SCAM for out of network patients! BEWARE!!! If I could give them 0 stars that is exactly what they would have gotten! Now I am stuck with a tooth too big and my deep cleaning not completed but, billed to my insurance! I will be filing a complaint with my insurance company to say the least!
