tl;dr - I am so blessed to have found Dr. Wong and the Prime Plastic Surgery Team (special shout to my primary care team Daisy, Justine and Korina – love you ladies, you’re the best!) Grateful every day for all they have done for me and to have these special people in my life. I meant to write this review after my first surgery of the two I had done at Prime, but honestly, I was so nervous I wouldn’t be able to find the words worthy of such a phenomenal surgeon and care team that I procrastinated. But even if my words fail to really capture how amazing they, I want to make sure others find them for themselves and experience the incredible care I have received. So my background, I was morbidly obese all my life until I started my journey of weight loss and food addiction recovery 5 years ago after having had the gastric sleeve weight loss surgery and realizing that it was not going to ensure I lost the weight or kept it off. Thankfully I found my solution and have maintained a weight release of over 150 lbs. from my top weight for over 4 years now. I had a lot of excess skin and my breasts had deflated. I used to have DDs but mostly I just had loose skin left with little tissue. The excess skin created a dissonance and disconnection with my new body, and so I started my journey of self-compassion and body appreciation through looking into skin removal and body lifting. I consulted with 6 surgeons total at 5 different highly rated San Diego facilities, Dr. Michael Wong being the final one. After meeting him, I finally felt like I had found the right surgeon to take care of my body. He is wonderful. He has a warm, gentle and kind demeanor. I never felt like he was critical of my body or trying to get me to do more. He was very conscientious about making sure he was attending to what my goals and objectives were and very simply telling me how and what could be accomplished and explaining to me the realistic results from each. He was very concerned about doing too much surgery at once for my health but also helping me find the best way to do as much at once as possible, so I didn’t have to do endless surgeries. I so appreciated how he was not pushy in any way, plus he is wicked talented and brilliant, which was immediately evident when hearing how he would approach the surgery, which gave me great assurance in his expertise and abilities right away. I was so grateful to finally feel confident in selecting my surgeon after searching for so many months. My inner thighs and breasts were my top concerns, but also needed a lift over most of my body really. We started with a lower body lift and inner thigh lift in December 2021, planning on doing any revisions (thighs are very difficult to do and I was told very clearly upfront that many people need or want revisions to thigh lifts, which I appreciated that they are always trying to manage my expectations). It was a lot of surgery, recovery was lengthy, but I was carried throughout the process by Dr. Wong and his incredible team. This past December (of 2022) I had my second surgery with Dr. Wong where he did a small thigh revision and a full breast lift and augmentation. I am now three months out and could not be happier with the results. Nothing is ever perfect, but with the skin removed I feel like I finally see my body and I LOVE it! This is amazing as I had such body loathing in my past and never felt beautiful or comfortable in my skin. These surgeries and working with Dr. Wong & the Prime team have transformed my body and my feelings about it. I cannot thank them enough for all their support, care and kindness. The medical team is so attentive and helpful. Ever single person there is so kind and helpful. I love walking in and seeing Blake’s smiling face or helpful manner on the in person or on the phone. Daisy, Korina and Justine have held my hand through every part of this process and answered all my millions of questions with such kindness and grace. Nicole is a great new addition to the team and in the past Helen and Vanessa, although I did not work with them much directly, were just as lovely to interact with as the rest of the team. I really think the quality of each and every one of the staff members speaks volumes to the type of environment they are able to provide their clients. I am sure there is more I forgot to mention, even with such a lengthy review, but all I can just reiterate is my immense gratitude for them and all they do. I went on about five consults with different plastic surgeons before deciding to move forward with Dr. Wong. I chose him because of his specific expertise working with patients with extreme weight loss, his attention and care during my consult, and his concern with my overall safety during my procedure. He removed over 6 pounds of excess skin and I couldn’t have asked for better results! I have so much more confidence in myself since this surgery and can’t believe that I finally can see my shape after all this time! He truly listened to every one of my concerns and has been in close communication since my surgery. I have had no complications and every question I had before and after surgery has been answered in a timely manner. All of the staff are so kind and made the recovery process that much smoother. Dr. Wong and his staff are very professional they care very much about their patients and their being. I had arm skin removal they made me feel very comfortable when getting ready for surgery. The after care is awesome My weekly appointments are very helpful as are any phone calls i've had to make with any concerns i've had they are very prompt i would recommend this office to anyone, i will continue doing the rest of my surgery's here with Dr.Wong.

I had a great experience with Doctor Wong. My surgery was successful and I am very happy with my results. I felt all my concerns were addressed and I was well taken care of. If I ever need cosmetic surgery again I will be seeing him!

My experience with Dr. Wong was fantastic. On the first consultation he and his team really dedicated their time answering all of my questions and explaining the different procedures, size options and everything else you need to know before making a final decision. Dr. Wong really listen to my concerns about the size I wanted it and he really delivered. The care after my surgery was fenomenal. I had a muscle spam on my right breast a week after the surgery that messed up the position of the implant, that day and the weeks the follow the Doctor and his staff really stay on top of my situation. Once a week they did ultrasound massages the help the implant find its place back and now after six months I am very happy with the results.

I had my tummy tuck done by Dr.Wong in January 2022. I am now 7 months post op and I love my results! I feel and look amazing. I am a mother of two beautiful boys and had let my body go and had gain weight. I was able to get back on track and felt that I had deserved a new body. Dr. Wong was amazing at answering all my questions and the staff was great at checking up on me after surgery. I would recommend him to all my friends and family! P.S. I was soooo scared about how my belly button would turn out but he did an amazing job!!

To start I'm 67 years young, I went to see Dr. Wong regarding a monsplasty procedure. I am now 3 weeks post-op & the incision looks fantastic! His staff Vanessa, Daisy, Helen & all the other ladies made me feel so at ease/comfortable with myself pre-op & post-op. I now understand why other patients have given Dr.Wong & his staff 5 stars as they are all well worth it!

Dr. Wong is amazing and very patient. He takes excellent care of his patients and does an amazing job with his plastic surgeries. I had a complete tummy tuck and he left me so beautiful. I can wear high waisted pants without being self conscious of my lower tummy. I trust him fully, does amazing work.

Dr. Wong is absolutely amazing. My whole experience from start to finish was made easy by his wonderful staff. From Daisy and Justine answering all my questions throughout the process and Dr. Wong listening to what I was wanting and delivering me perfect results. Everyone was beyond helpful and I would highly recommend them!
