Botched

I was 18 years old when I had a rhinoplasty done by this surgeon. I trusted him with helping me face my crooked nose insecurities. Instead, I was left with a collapsed nostril, worse nasal breathing, a giant bulb at the end of my nose, and none of deviated septum concerns addressed. Not only can I not breathe out of the right side of my nose, cosmetically I look botched. It’s taken years for me to post this review because I’ve felt taken advantage of and ashamed. Please do not go to this surgeon and take the time to do your research.

Avoid this doctor - Sacramento, CA

An appointment was made for removal of stubborn acne -- a simple, painless procedure done at this office in 2009 which involved deep heating with a laser device. Unfortunately, the doctor seen in 2009 was no longer there, and Dr. McLaughlin claimed to have never heard of that procedure. He suggested using an electric needle instead. It was only when the procedure was well underway that he revealed that he was burning away the top layer of the skin. Also, he never sterilized the area treated, either before or after. This very painful procedure left several open lesions on my face, which Dr. McLaughlin said would disappear in a few days. However, it was two whole weeks before the scabby sores went away although bright red marks remain. Because of this doctor's sloppy treatment, my face may end up scarred. His whole attitude was uncaring and disparaging of my concerns.
