Double-board-certified physician Dr. Matt (Mehdi) Tahsini is the medical director of Skin Works Medical Spa, and L.A. Hair Clinic in Torrance, California. Though he performs a broad range of aesthetic procedures, including dermal fillers and other injectables, laser skin resurfacing, and chemical peels, Dr. Tahsini is best known for his work performing hair restoration surgery to improve the lives of both men and women in Los Angeles County.

Dr. Tahsini is known for offering some of the most innovative and cutting-edge treatments in the South Bay and San Gabriel Valley. He takes a holistic approach, working methodically to understand his patients’ motivations before addressing their concerns.

He is known for his warm bedside manner, collaborative nature, and passion for helping his patients feel more confident, healthy, and youthful. At both Skin Works Medical Spa and LA Hair Clinic, he is focused on hiring only helpful, highly skilled, and compassionate staff.

Dr. Tahsini received his medical degree from Shiraz University of Medical Science in Shiraz, Iran, before completing his residency in family medicine at Indiana University-Purdue University in Indianapolis.

After becoming board-certified in family medicine, he was inspired by the transformative power of hair restoration surgery to redirect the course of his career. Dr. Tahsini now also holds board certification from the American Board of Hair Restoration Surgery. He also holds a certificate in aesthetic medicine from the American Academy of Aesthetic Medicine, in addition to being a fellow of the American Academy of Anti-Aging Medicine.

Dr. Tahsini’s advanced training in FUE hair transplant techniques and many qualifications make him a distinguished hair restoration surgeon. He maintains hospital privileges at Torrance Memorial Medical Center.

In his spare time, Dr. Tahsini enjoys garden design, collecting Japanese art, practicing Jiu-Jitsu, and playing with his children. He speaks Farsi and English.
