I saw Dr. James Newman for my Sofwave treatment three weeks ago. Because I'm a breastfeeding mother, he suggested that I forgo the topical numbing cream. We started the procedure slowly to make sure can handle the pain. It wasn't bad at all. I started to slightly tear up while we were treating my forehead, but it was totally manageable. Dr Newman and his staffs' bedside manner were great; I felt completely at ease the entire time. Immediately after the procedure there was slight redness, but it was gone within an hour. Three weeks later and I already feel some tightening of my face and a slight lift. Love the results!

My mom has been going to Dr. Newman for over 10 years.. I had my tonsils out, my adenoids out and still couldnt breath or sleep efficiently. I turned 18 and my mom took me to have a consult with Dr. Newman. I had my rhinoplasty and I could breath and sleep the night of the surgery better than I can ever remember. Dr. Newman performed sculpsure on my stomach and I loved the results. After two kids I had some stubborn fat on my stomach and my sides that just wouldn't quite go away with my active lifestyle and this procedure was the perfect remedy. In 20 painless minutes I was already done and over the next few months began to see the stubborn areas get smaller. I would definitely recommend this procedure from Dr. Neman if you have areas of stubbornness!

I cannot begin to tell you how pleased I am with Dr. Newman and his staff. I called around asking about surgeons' experience with lip IMPLANTS and if they had before & after photos. Dr. Newman had a handful and they all looked great! He's also reasonably priced, and I honestly think he should charge more because he is just that good! The woman on the phone, Kimberly, was so nice and helpful and she answered all of my questions with detail. Every worry I had was gone. Driving, I couldn't find the place because I'm hopeless with directions (even with a GPS) and I was quite stressed and short with the receptionist on the phone. She calmly and nicely told me where to go, and I found the place. It's great that Dr. Newman has such wonderful and patient staff! I did drive over 2 hours to him and had my consultation. I made it clear that I did not want to be subtle, and even so he recommended the medium size implant for my top lip. He also wanted me to wait another month for the previous injections to dissipate. So I waited, and called again. I really wanted the largest implant, and Dr. Newman said I do have enough space but it will hurt more post-op while healing. That's fine. He really took my concerns and addressed them in the most helpful way, giving his professional opinion but also listening to me, the patient. And I'm so glad I went with him!! I am beyond happy with the results. I've experienced no issues whatsoever with my recovery. Dr. Newman perfectly placed and formed the implants to my lips and gave me the pouty lips I've always dreamed of. He gave me the after-care I needed and I saw him again after 5 weeks to check up. (Was supposed to be 4 weeks but I cancelled). Everything was great. Dr. Newman and his staff made such a seemingly-scary experience and transformed it into one of the best decisions in my life. I highly recommend him at either their Palo Alto or San Mateo office. So convenient to have 2 locations!

Went to Dr. James Newman in Palo Alto The procedure was fine, and i love my new lip. If anything, i wish it were bigger, but i got the maximum size. Went in for a consultation that was about 15 minutes, 1 week later had the surgery. Took about 20-30 minutes. I was scared but it went well. Swollen and lopsided during recover, could leave the house with no visible swelling about 1 week later. As the numbing wears down tho, the first 24-72 hours after the procedure, IT HURTS!! But now, no pain, i don't feel it, looks natural. I got it done on my upper lip only as my lower lip is plump enough. i will add pics later.

I saw Dr. Newman for a Fraxel CO2 Laser treatment to minimize a facial scar and have been very pleased with his work and his staff. It was reassuring that he made sure I was comfortable and not in pain during the procedure! I have also seen him for botox injections and have been really happy with the results! Will continue to be a patient!

I have been a patient of Dr. Newman since 2000. Not only is his bedside manner superb but his knowledge, skill and office staff is un-surpassable. As with any procedure, there are no guaranteed perfect results. I have had excellent Mixto results, filler, botox and surgical procedures with no complications what so ever. His gift as a physician is second to none. Updated on 15 Apr 2015: I have been a patient of Dr. Newman since 1998. Not only is his bedside manner superb but his honesty, knowledge and skill is un-surpassable. As with any procedure, there are no guaranteed "perfect" results. I have had excellent outcomes with all procedures (surgical, filler, botox, laser) with no complications. If you want a natural, long lasting and beautiful outcome, Dr. Newman is your doctor. He is a true artist with a gift as physician that is second to none.

I have had 4 treatments and lost 2 pant sizes. I am so happy with the results. There was little pain. I did experience some soreness after treatments for a few days but tolerable. I began to notice a difference after first treatment. Doctor was very nice and office staff very helpful. Well worth it and would recommend this to everyone!

I had filler done with Dr. Newman for the first time and I could not be more pleased with him as my cosmetic surgeon. Dr. Newman and his staff really cared about all my concerns-I was really nervous going into his office! Dr. Newman made sure i was comfortable with the injections and he really took his time to perfect my lips. I told him I wanted a more plump, fuller pout, but did not want to look fake. He also recommended some filler to soften my "laugh lines", this made a huge difference in my appearance, without the puffy look that i thought i would get! So happy! Thank you Dr. Newman!!

I use it to inject into masseter muscle in jaw to reduce TMJ. It works great. I have the injection every 8 months or so, and it really beats having to wear a mouth-guard every night (yuk). Also makes my jaw look a bit less "square" since it relieves the muscle build-up in my jaw muscles. Also makes chewing food easier and more pleasant (less painful). What can I say, for me - it just works.
